We also can, and should, do better than Kelvin Beachum at LT (he turns 31 this summer, by the way). No matter how good Jamal is, he's not as important to the defense as upgrades on the OL will be to Darnold and the Offense. And the minute you decide not to trade Jamal when the timing is right, you're moving towards paying him. Try upgrading positions of importance when you're paying Mosley $17.5M per AND Adams over $15M per. I just think people are seriously underestimating the value of Adams (the whole, ‘he doesn’t play a premium position’ argument is a massive red herring imho) and overestimating the level to which any of the guys on that list can replace Adams. It’s not a premium position until you have to trot Eric Smith, Dawan Landry, Dwight Lowery, Yeremiah Bell, Rontez Miles, Brodney Pool, Abram Elam, Jon McGraw or Damien Robinson our there just my opinion

Besides, we still have Marcus Maye. Even if we can't find a particularly good SS to replace Jamal we wouldn't be lost back there. We haven't even been using Adams as a traditional Safety anyways. No agreed, it’s not a given, but as he’s one of the top 3 safeties in the league I’d argue it’s highly unlikely. If we got an insane offer for him such as two 1st rounders including a top 5 pick this year then maybe I consider it but I highly doubt that’s happening. Maye is good yes agreed but I don’t see this as addition but subtraction your last point is, if anything, a good reason why we should keep him. It’s precisely because he’s such a versatile weapon that he’s worth more to us than I think people appreciate. No player is Untradeable and JD is absolutely right to listen to any offers but I just think there’s a lot of wishful thinking going on here about how easy it is to replace a player as good as Adams

Based on who's ahead of us I'd say 5 teams are in the mix for the 3 OTs (DET,CLE,NYG,JAX and ARI) Having said that would you trade our #11 and #79 to Arizona for #8? Or the same trade to Jax but we'd receieve a later pick to get #9. Our chance at an OT greatly increases but if we somehow miss out we should have Jeudy or Lamb there as well. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp I used this to make the trade Edit- I personally wouldn't make this trade before yall start flaming me lol but I think it's a fair question given our needs and the way the OL talent in the draft is starting to come together We also need a WR and Edge. I'd be fine with either of those as well as a OT in the first. No point in trading up
