10 Non-Jet NFL Players I Have Hated over the Years

Lawrence Taylor was a BEAST he played the game like no other. ( on drugs they say but still he was fun to watch)

He was great.  IMO he's the best pure football defender of all-time, certainly Top 5 with guys like Deion, Reggie White, etc.

In 1998 I was doing consulting work for a media company in New Jersey.  It was a small company and I'm a young guy at the time cranking away on spreadsheets and stuff when I look towards the lobby and see Lawrence Taylor standing there. I'm like WTF?  LT is in a suit and carrying a briefcase.  I see the CFO walk out to the lobby to meet him and they go back to the CFO's office for about 45 minutes.  After LT leaves the CFO comes over to our area and tells us that LT was trying to sell insurance.  The CFO felt bad because he was a huge Giants fan and loved LT on the field but said the insurance wasn't a good fit and had to turn him down.  It tugged at him a bit because he knew of LT's off-the-field issues with drugs and other things, and he could tell that Taylor was making a serious effort to straighten himself out at the time.  I think LT ended up having a few more relapses and issues but that was an event I'll never forget.  It made me see LT as a guy struggling with some inner demons but truly trying to do the right thing and stay clean, even withstanding the potential risk of embarrassment doing something that was likely somewhat ego-killing such as peddling insurance to small/midsize businesses in suburban New Jersey.

About 10 years ago, my wife and I were test driving a car.  The salesman is in there and we're chatting.  I guess it must have been football season or something and he was going on about the Dolphins and how much he loved Dan Marino.  After the test drive, we just said "Thanks, but no thanks" and left - bought the same make and model from another dealership down the road.

In business, NEVER talk politics, religion or sports.

The bolded is a very good one.  Such a massive hypocrite, played one way and the moment he retired he changed his views.

So nice to see him be the one in on the David Tyree catch.

No one else rises to hatred the way these three, and especially for me #1, do.

It’s definitely Jason Taylor and I can also say that the day Rex brought him in is when I first started turning on Rex.

This this this this this this this. This. Jason Taylor is a disease and signing him was borderline treasonous. The only silver lining to the loss in Pittsburgh was knowing that jerkoff would never play in a Super Bowl.

People may laugh, but I've never hated great players for being great, so my list doesnt have a ton of BIG names, just guys that kinda were ok or sucked that other fans thought were awesome so it made me hate them lol  or just random guys i couldnt stand the sight of for really no particular reason. This is in no real particular order.  Or guys that when they played the jets pissed me off.

2. Jeremy Shockey

3. Curtis Conway

4. Brandon Jacobs

5. Teddy Bruschi

6. Michael Strahan

7. Jay Fiedler
