I've been thinking that Round 3 would be the perfect spot for an Edge rusher after getting an OLineman and a WR in Round 1 and 2, but with the mock drafts I'm seeing lately I get the feeling that my two favorite Edge guys (Baun and Uche) may both be gone by Round 3.

Most likely they’ll be gone. I’d love to get quality edge in round 3, but I think they’ll be gone late 2nd. If we’re looking at each round by a position basis with quality availability by the time we pick in those rounds, I’d say we go:

Rd 1: LT

Rd 2: WR

Rd 3: C & RB

Rd 4: CB

Rd 5: WR

Rd 6: CB

last pick: RB

I’m really stoked on this one.
Took longer than I wanted to address the WR position, but I really like the prospects picked!

LT, Center, a complete back to share the load, 2 big targets for Sam, the high motor edge we’ve been missing since Mark G, and some depth in positions of need!

Unexpected availability of Okudah at #11.  Have to make that pick.  Then tried to piece together the rest of the Draft around the intersection of value/needs.  Taylor was hard to pass up at #68.

Couldn't address OLine any earlier than Rounds 3 and 4 but happy with prospects like Harris and Trey Adams there.  Would have to hope the Jets brought back Beachum and signed someone like Thuney and/or Glasgow.

This Draft would hopefully solve the Jets WR needs for a while.

Probably the most balanced Mock I've done.  Got two OTs, 2 WRs....including a high-end player at each position, and managed to address Defense 3 times.  Liked adding McFarland at RB too.  The one glaring miss is no Interior OLine players.....which is okay if the Jets manage to add a couple guys like Glasgow and either Scherff or Thuney, and maybe bring back Alex Lewis.1604334443_ScreenShot2020-02-15at3_10_27PM.png.e77bc739ab94377d6f9ab500a148f7a1.png

I love the fact that Becton is rising across the board.  It makes the Thomas/Wirfs dream possible.

I find myself falling into a pattern for most of my mocks:

1.  Thomas or Wirfs (one off them always falls to us)

2. One of the Centers (LSU/Temple)

3.  Edwards-Helaire/Dobbins. (I don't know how, but one of them is usually here)

3.  Mims WR Baylor (going to be a red zone beast.  I will pick him if both backs are gone with the first 3rd)

4. Willekes Edge Mich St

5. Johnson. Minnesota WR

6. Oline or CB depth

7. Oline or CB depth

New mock.

Tee fell to me in round 2 so I took him over the Center.

The Sparty edge went early so I waited late to take the pass rush specialist.

Double dipped at G/Center prospects and bought a lottery ticket with the corner from FSU.  Maybe another Bless injury surprise?

Sammy now has two MONSTERS at receiver, an all purpose back to share the load with Bell, and a rebuilt interior o-line along with, hopefully, a free agent Guard or Tackle.

Ran another mock today - and that website just seems really unrealistic.  Anyway, if this was our draft id be pretty damn thrilled.

1.  Trsitan Wirfs

2. Brandon Aiyuk

3. Josh Uche

3.  Tyler Biadasz

4. Shane Lemiuex

5.  Michael Pittman

6. Dane Jackson CB

I thought I'd do one where I waited on WR and really focused on the OL.

Wirfs-Wanogho-Akers-Biadasz-Kindley-Pittman-Gandy-Golden-Victor.

It's interesting because we completely revamped our OL and provided an awesome change of pace for Bell w/ Akers but is it too much to ask 5th to 7th round picks to make an impact at WR?  I like Pittman, GG is a wildcard and I like Victor as a sleeper - all 6'4 and can move for the size.

I think I've liked my mocks where we go WR #11 because I love Jeudy and Lamb but this would be very interesting albeit, risky.

I do that every mock and still walk away with Mims, Claypool, and the receiver from Minnesota.

Unrealistic, but shows how deep the wr pool is.

Imo, they have to go o- line 1 and 2 unless Tee drops to our second.

In the recents one I've done it was basically  OT-Mims or WR-OL.    I figured I'd really wait on this one before going WR.  It's scary but I dont hate it.

The best one I've done had Tee at 48 but I just dont see that happening....but this one would make me cream myself even though we're waiting a bit on OL after Thomas

I did one where Tee was available at 48 as well.  Maybe he gets to the second round, but 48 is wishful thinking.  He’ll probably go 47 because God has a sense of humor at times and I’m sure he would be amused watching me stress out as Tee fell pick by pick in the second round.

Damn, we have very similar taste...Lol.  Aside from Tee and Thomas, I also really love Akers and Pittman.

I dont think 2 OTs is realistic in the first 3 rounds simply because that would likely mean that we didnt resign Beachem and went into the draft with Edgoda and basically nothing else at OT, and thats not something that is very smart to do.

If we resign Beachem and take Wirfs I could see Joe D taking a developmental tackle later in the draft but other then that I think we focus on Center/guards and build fro the inside out especially if we have a top tier rookie RT.
