He’s never been a speed guy, true. He’s got elite vision, which is wasted on a field with no blocks to follow.

Oh well.

Apparently the OL can be the excuse for Darnold being mediocre, but not for Bell underperforming. Why would Jet fans make sense?

Don't forget the injuries.

Of course it's a big part of the reason he's not good.

It's also the reason he shouldn't have been signed.

Give him one more year, because, why create another problem.  Then cut him.

Macc was so stupid.

This is 100% wrong. We can definitely trade him but we can't cut him.

Why is that?  I thought cutting and trading were generally the same thing, cap wise.  Is there additional non prorated guaranteed money this year?

EDIT: I'll revise my thinking on this.  Take a 4 and 9M cap savings if you can get it.

So Gase ruined Le'Veon Bell.  Okay.

So let's hear your praise for the fact that Robbie Anderson and Jameson Crowder had career years.

SAR I

Bell ISN'T RUINED... gase IS A MORON who's offense hasn't finished better than 24th in ranking his ENTIRE NFL HC'ing Career.

No his salary for next year is guaranteed... But the team trading for him will take that on if he is traded... Cut him and you pay him and he gets paid by another team and you get nothing for him... Cutting him would be a ridiculously bad and stupid idea

Your opinion of Gase is not a fact... Just saying

Not "opinion"... FACT.... gase's offense as HC was ranked 24th in his 1st yr @ Miami & has Steadily Declined finishing Last (32nd) in 2019 w/ the Jets.... just saying.

So if I am reading this right the years he had a top tier qb he was ranked number 1... Ok then

... and Crowder caught 78 for 833yds, but in '16, he caught 67 for 847 yds. Difference was he was targeted 122 time last year (63.9% catch %) vs 99 times in '16 (67.7%). The only one who had a "career year" was Luke Falk because last year was his whole career.

Deals I would take right now:

Jamal Adams — 1st rounder and 3rd rounder

Le’veon Bell — 2nd or 3rd and nothing less.

Avery Williamson — 3rd and nothing less.

if I couldn’t get that from any of these deals, I wouldn’t budge because I don’t have to if I’m JD.

I'd take a 1st and a 2021 3rd  for Adams.

A 3rd for Bell and we only eat half of his salary/cap hit is the max we could get for him.

Keep Williamson

EXACTLY... Peyton Manning WILL make your resume look Great... take him away & you see what he really is... ZERO... He had Tannenhill & got him traded... Tannenhill in his 1st yr Led the League in QBR & is playing in the Division Championship... so much for the offensive QB "guru" ?

After years of learning under Gase... Gase might just be a terrible play caller but good coach.  Hence why Manning excelled under him.

Tannehill was a backup with the Titans and was ignored for 6 weeks, rode the bench.  Thrown into the lineup in desperation, he had a great 10 game stretch.

So that means the coaching and training he received prior to arriving in Tennessee finally paid off.

Great job Adam Gase.  Whisperer indeed.
