John Harbaugh... 2019 Coach of the Year

Recommended Posts

Yep years about people on this board wanted nothing to do with Harbaugh when it was speculated he would be released. 😆

Mock it all you want but Gase does deserve credit for the Jets going 6-2 to finish the season.  Also both Gase and Harbaugh won the same amount of playoff games this season.

Gregg Williams deserves credit for the Jets going 6-2.

Part of the team that played well last half of the year?  Defense.

Part of the team that wallowed in dead last in the league last half of the years?  Offense.

We were Super Bowl favorites after beating Tennessee in 2008 with Mangini

That season was painful.  Tennessee was the league darlings, undefeated, and we just kicked their ass from one end of the field to the other.  We had also beaten the pats a few weeks before if I recall and then things plummeted.

So than Harbaugh doesn’t deserve credit because it wasn’t special teams that got the Ravens 14 wins.

Harbaugh is a head football coach.  Not an over blown coordinator who just holds the title of HC like our last three coaches.

Our OC is an oc in title and pay grade only, much like Kacy Rogers and Thurman with REx.

Gase cares about the offense only and his side of the ball sucked.

Being a DC like Williams, is much easier than being a HC like Gase is.  Your post is based on nothing but your dislike for Gase with no facts to back it up.  Also to show how stupid your logic is you blame Gase for going 1-7 but give no credit for going 6-2. LOL!

Great coach. Been a consistent winner with an average QB. If LJ stays healthy going to win a few SB's.

Absolutely not. Run first QB have a bad history

How are you coach of the year and lose to Tenn...this is so Jetsy

Because you had the easiest schedule in the NFL and a great running back disguised as a quarterback.  But the minute you ran into an elite defense playing at the top of its game, ooops, Michael Vick syndrome.

Yes, rhetorical question. Coach of the year would have at least thought that situation out. Or he’s got a me first player on his hands and can’t control it. Bad either way

Running QBs never last in this league. And
He melted twice in the playoffs.

And that’s not my point. They were the top seed and got immediately ousted. No bigger choke in sports

I honestly think that Shanahan deserves the award.  Big turnaround from 4-12, top seed in the most competitive division in the league, no whackadoo scramblemania quarterback generating phony yardage, powerful on O as well as D, etc.

Peep the Jets offensive production and efficiency numbers. They’re about as visible as the fingers on your Gase doll.

Hmmm... A Head Coach who "adjusts" to his personnel's strengths... who would have thunk it...

John Harbaugh Named Pro Football Writers Of America’s Coach Of The Year

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The Pro Football Writers of America has named Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh its 2019 NFL Coach of the Year.

Offensive coordinator Greg Roman was also named the 2019 NFL Assistant Coach of the Year.

— Baltimore Ravens (@Ravens) January 16, 2020

The announcement came one day after the group named Lamar Jackson its Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year.

Harbaugh and Roman led the Ravens to an impressive 14-2 regular season, including 12 consecutive wins.

While their season is over, the team can’t rest yet: the Ravens’ coaching staff will lead the AFC team, which includes a dozen Ravens, at the Pro Bowl in Orlando.

Because there's a HC anywhere who would try to use him any way other than he was used in Baltinoe?

Hes not a real QB, kind of forces your hand

We like our HC mean or soft on alternating coaching cycles.

Harbaugh might be the main reason loser teams keep selecting coordinators with no HC experience for vacant jobs.

He was a ST coach for years with only one season as a D coordinator before taking the Baltimore job.

The NFL has been rife with 1st time HC's who have won Many games including Super Bowls... it doesn't have anything to do with Harbaugh's success as a HC.

Cowher was a STs coach

There are lots of coordinators without HC experience who went onto successful HC gigs.

It's a good thing the playoffs are not under consideration in awarding coach of the year? John Harbaugh laid an egg
