Revis is right though.   Sherman is vastly overrated as a CB.  I'm not saying is bad but he has been semi protected most of his career and is not remotely in the league of a revis or some of the other great shut down cbs.

Sherman has  made big plays in big games. Created turnovers. The biggest games Revis has played in he dropped a pick in his hands and o’leyed Derrick Henry on a tackle.

And he’s not wrong. Sherman is a read corner. He plays zone and reads and reacts. He cannot play man coverage nearly as good. Yeah the Packers lost but Adams went off for like 8 catches and 118 yards. Revis wouldn’t of let him do that in his hay days

Someone should have told Revis to play zone post 2014.

No, in his 3 year prime he would not have.

Revis, for a few years was amazing.  Then he got hurt, wasn't the same, got paid, stopped trying.

Sherman still makes plays, and is a key component on a super bowl defense years after Revis stopped trying.  Revis last contract is one of the worst the Jets ever signed.  I get the 49ers are thrilled with what they are paying Sherman.

So he didn’t come back with NE and return to form? Yeah that’s actually exactly what happened.

you people are so salty over the best defensive player we’ve ever had(better than Klecko) and one of the best corners in NFL history. Maybe one day you’ll all seek the emotional support you need, heal from this and be able to come to grips with how great of a player he was.

First we discovered Manish Mehta has an active account here, and now we discover that Darrelle Revis has one here, too.

What a crazy couple weeks.

Revis in his prime was better than Sherman.  Revis's prime was way shorter than Sherman's, and he proved his character and integrity after he got paid, got really fat, and didn't even try.

Meanwhile, sherman gives the 49ers what they paid for, years after Revis Island closed up shop, and is going for another ring.

This sums it up rather well.

Revis was better at his peak, but Sherman has had a better career and will have a better legacy.
