Dcat
It's my year to host. I just have to say how delighted I am that I don't have to host a party in which the cheater Patriots are featured. Now that I got that off my chest... I'm setting up some prop games/contests other than the traditional boxes. I'm thinking one sheet for football related props and another for commercials, and other non football stuff. Suggestions for games or clever football prop questions are welcomed! What have you done that has been great? Some of the silly non football ones I got are things like over/under on number of commercials with dogs (animated or real) from kickoff to final gun. Dumb stuff like that. The traditional football props are easy but I am also looking for interseting ones beyond the usual passing, receiving, rushing, defensive stats.
The Crimson King
Saw this done once: Everyone puts x$ in a pool. Names of all attendees in a hat. Every picks one, If you pick your own, you put it back and go again. No one reveals who they have. If the person who you picked is the first one to nod off, you win the pool. 1 1

Was that done at a senior citizen facility, who falls asleep during the Super Bowl.

TuscanyTile2
If people show up early, you can have them fill out a sheet with cross-sports props. That will make the pre-SB games (e.g. basketball, hockey, etc) going on that day have more meaning.
JustEndTheSuffering
Recently when my friends and I hang out for games we’ve been guessing how many Baker commercials will be on during the game, but we’ve never had any money on it. Might be a fun thing to throw a few bucks at for the SB though.

nycdan
If you want people to actually watch the game, make bingo cards with stupid phrases the commentators always say.
More Cowbell
We did this one year and it was funny as hell. Hang a baseball cap or ski hat on one of the upper corners of your flat screen and everytime someones head goes in it, you do a shot. If you think nobodies head will go in, you are in for a suprise.

JetsLife
About 20 years ago my mate and I had a freaking blast betting on which head coach they'd show next on TV. It was fun that kept on giving from start to finish. You could split it up in two teams of your guests. Enjoy your SB party!

I can not stomach the thought. There is debate as to whether they actually happened or not. If you're interested in the opinions, here's an interesting article on the subject. Personally, I've never heard of anyone actually having a key party. Just sounded funny as a response to the thread. https://www.sfweekly.com/culture/did-key-parties-ever-really-happen/

Ohio State NY Jets fan
pin the tail on the brady bumble quotes from belli kraft matchmaker game I have not watched a pats* superbowl since they invented the tuck rule and video taped the Rams practice - amazing it was their lowest scoring game in two years... (bb knew the plays) Montana facts could be interesting since he played for both teams - enjoy! I will actually watch this one
Dcronin
We always liked to put dollar bills into a pile and guess what industry would be the next commercial - soft drink, fast food, athletic wear, financial, car, etc. Always fun. As soon as one advertiser has revealed themselves, you can bet on the next one.
