TMAC
Listening to Bart Scott today, the Free Agent market will have an unusually high number of quality offensive linemen and edge rushers. The draft is supposed to be deep at the wide receiver position. If Joe Douglas is any good, he should be able to make moves in the off season which can materially improve the team. Let's hope he can break the pattern.

Between FA and the draft, there's no earthly reason why this should enter opening day with an almost completely revamped OL.

Let’s start with using high draft picks on the line, and pick up a another tackle in F.A. Personally I’d break the bank for Jack Conklin, and I would not resign Kelvin Beachum. 1
rangerous
obviously i have zero impact on how things go but i fully expect the jets to have 3 new starters on the oline for this season and there will be only one rookie. i also expect them to sign a good wr in free agency and then buttress that with draft pick. Joe D by all account has been around people who have built good rosters to varying degree's, but by all quantitative measures, "good" rosters. So this year is his time to shine. I think he will do fine and upgrade the line.

varjet
I am not expecting there to be major FA signings. I would expect a bunch of middle class signings, like the Bills did last year. I am also not expecting Adams to be traded. But I am hoping that JD makes good draft picks.

I suspect that Adams gets quietly shopped, whether JD gets his price is probably 50-50. Other than that, I agree - probably because I'm projecting. Lol. I don't want the big signings. Maybe he'll do one on the OL, but then look for value after that. That's the way I'd go about it. Too many holes to try to, "win the off season." Everything comes down to how well he drafts. I don't want any of the Jets' classic, "smarter than everybody else," picks. I just want a nice set of good football players who generally avoid getting arrested for a change.

Let's hope he can break the pattern. Sign at least 2 Offensive linemen, 1 WR, 1 Edge rusher, 1 CB in Free Agency. Not all of them need to be top tier guys. Even just average or slightly above average players would upgrade every single one of those position groups. Then get to the Draft and follow the same pattern....Draft 2 OLinemen, a WR (or two) an Edge rusher and a CB.

After the draft. It cost nothing except money for 2019 only, for a team that had cap space. It was an ultra low risk move that didn’t work out. No big deal.

Berrios was a nice pickup as they finally seemingly solved punt returner for the long haul. The rest- meh. Thankfully he had enough sense to get Gettleman on the phone, which he wont have the luxury of doing next season.

So we really should be able to put a ton of focus into pass rushers and corners and come away with impact players.
