Generations ago a small group of settlers had gotten lost on their way west and forced to settle here in this deserted place that time had forgotten known as Rattle Snake Ridge. Isolated for decades or more, they have seen nary an outsider in 5 maybe 6 generations. From the start, they were a godless bunch, prone to acting on their most basic instincts and had a certain antagonism towards the scientific. But the land was good, bountiful. Fresh water and food were easy to come by with minimal effort. As such, and through years of unrestrained inbreeding and poly-amorous behavior their population had exploded. The most recent generation was the largest yet, fully 7x the size of the one before it which was 5x the size of the one before that. Overcrowding had became a large problem, resources had became scarce. Years of inbreeding had taken its toll and combined with the isolation the process of speciation had begun. Society began to collapse as basic survival skills were forgotten. Sterility and impotence were rampant. Life expectancy had fallen to the mid 20's, leaving the elder generation almost no time to pass down what little survival skills remained to their young. Not that it would've mattered, this current lot was the meanest, nastiest, most depraved sort you'd ever want to meet. More animal than man by this point, lacking even basic human ingenuity to adapt and more prone to violence that even the most savage of god's beasts. Scientists would later discover and name this phenomenon the behavioral sink. Nature itself seemed determined to put and end to this ill begotten experiment. Population began to dwindle. It is here within this milieu of depravity, moral decay, overt violence, resource scarcity and rapid societal collapse that our story takes place... He wandered off into the night as he's been known to do, this time getting lost and was never to be seen by the villagers again He was discovered years later and 100's of miles away, seemingly living amongst a pack of feral pigs as their leader. But alas, his story does not end as happily as it would appear He met his end when invading local farms for sustenance and consuming poison a farmer had left out to stop the nightly raids of his crops. It is now Day 1. The village only has enough water for 21 people to survive, in the last vestiges of human civility that remain the village folk agree to vote for who meets their demise so the others may live. No deadlines, revel whatever the heck you want but no PM posting. If lynch isn't reached it goes random.
