I know.  The joke was I could easily see being based on a real life tragedy after one too many Sundays.

I hope no one knows a fan who dies because of the Jets or any team.

I think he just wrote a funny episode that all sports fans could identify with.  Its what he does

Do I need to put a /s sarcasm tag behind that joke.  You really think I was being serious?  No one actually kills themselves because of the game... its a droll humorous comment on the original joke.  Larry may be into real life improvised comedy... but my sense of humor is just a bit more morose.

You think I or anyone else took this episode of Curb seriously?  Or anyone should?

I was just answering your question, what I think his motivation was.

this is hysterical.  Widow tells Larry that her husband woke up in the middle of the night screaming "Watson".  Widow asks Larry if it is some reference to Sherlock Holmes.  Larry explains to her the nightmare inducing trauma of the Jets passing on DeShaun Watson in the 2017 draft [and instead drafting some safety].

Oh boy.

Funny, but literally nobody is bemoaning us passing on Watson in 2017.  At the time, sure, but not today.

Larry David - On Curb your Enthusiasm tonight, Larry's friend and golf partner Carl's dismay over the Jets' continual losing just ate him up inside and drove him to suicide.

Carl's suicide note said: "I can't take any more disappointment."

An instant classic.

And of course Larry David tries to bang the widow.

magical vagina fail ...  the jets are absolutely capable of doing this...

Carl should’ve become a SOJF and lowered those expectations. Would still be alive
