DJ re invented himself during the attitude era of the WWE.   He made the smart transition into kids movies, where he would laugh at himself, then into the action movies.   My kids like him, everyone likes him.

Hollywood is full of idiots who can't act.

People like you they go to see your movies

Its not a new formula

It;s amazing when you think of old style wrestling compared to the sport now.  It's like Circe do Soleil by comparison.

As a kid, a former gym teacher in our middle schol did bus trips to these events.  Parents signed waivers etc.  Saw Haystacks Calhoun, Bruno Samartino, Killer Kulligan, Chief Jay Strongbow...    good times.

My dad said his school used to the same thing.  Like wrestlers going to his school would do exhibitions too.  Just blows my mind.

I thought the same thing when I saw a bit of the New Year's Eve show that Gronk was part of in Time's Square.  It was beyond awkward.  It reached cringe-worthy status.  I had to turn it off after only a few minutes.  I'm 53 now and remember watching the New Year's Eve shows with Guy Lombardo when I was a kid.  Those were so much better.  They were entertaining and classy. Many of the contemporary celebrities that the Hollywood, the networks and record companies push are human zeros.  Pop culture has become the most excecrable force in the universe...

I saw a bit of him doing that, too. I actually cringed less watching Jenny McCarthy make stupid faces next to the emptyheaded attendees in the street.

I actually thought the movie was sh*t, but that had more to do with the writing than the acting.

But, yes, he's pretty damn decent when he's given an opportunity.

I was attempting to be funny.  Came out lame. sorry lol

With the WWE.....He's a big dumb animal, should work out well.

He's a MENSA member compared to 90% of the league. He never spent a dime of his NFL salary while playing and got out at 30 before he was crippled the rest of his life by back injuries. Also has 3 more Super Bowl wins than us the last 10 years.

That’s because Gronk has a family to guide him

I'll be honest, and I really can't say this about any other patriot. As good as he was, I could never bring myself to dislike him. He was a typical football player, but he was fun. He didn't care what anyone said about his partying ways or what porn stars he was banging - and why would he? He wasn't a party animal to the point where it was criminal. He was a professional when it came to the game, he played hard and he showed up when it mattered most. I really can't bring myself to hate on the guy for making good business decisions after retirement. I'm not going to be "that" Jets fan.

Exactly. I consider it more a joke than click bait because o don't get Jack squat from anyone opening this, but most definitely.

That said, Journalism seem pretty easy.  Create misleading headline=content.

Maybe the Daily News will hire me for the Jets beat

The journalists don't create the headines.
