Here a proposed Jet / Raider trade

Recommended Posts

Before I start it tough to see It happening between the teams after what transpired with K Osemele.

Raiders right guard Gabe Jackson is definitely on the trade block. ( almost certainly won’t be a Raider in 2020) .   Will be 29 years old next year , and gets paid 9 million next year( no  guarantee money/ dead cap if cut next three years) .

Gabe Jackson when healthy is the Raiders best guard ( capable of playing both guard positions)  Last year was never healthy after hurting his leg in scrimmage practice with the Rams.

The Raiders will be big players for lbs in Fa.       Here the trade Avery Williamson( coming off an injury) for Gabe Jackson.     Trade that might benefit both teams, while trading players that don’t fit into their plans.

I'd do it, we are going to cut Avery anyway. I could see this being a trade if we missed on Thuney and Glasgow in FA

9 mil affordable BUT it’s questionable if he could return to form. Pass. JD needs to spend that FA cash on solid investments not question marks. Avery will be cut. That’s a no brainer. We have some young and upcoming LB’s and he too will be a huge question mark.

What are you guys gonna do with Carr when you sign Winston?

This guy is back again??   All we’ll hear is how great the Raiders are at this, and how special this Raiders player is, how awesome the Raiders will be, and how sh**ty the Jets are.   Then the regular season starts, the Raiders suck and he goes into hibernation.  Just a total clown and a fraud.

If Gabe Jackson is healthy, he'd be the mauler at RG, that we haven't had for a while. -We have to be able to run the football when we need to

Jmo J Gruden would never sign J Winston , because he would totally lose it , if his QB turned over the football,  as much as J Winston does.   ( why don’t see Winston an option).

J Gruden is a very conservative coach.    He is more the problem than Carr.  To play his style , you need a defense .( expect Raiders to be Big players in Fa on defense) .

I expect them to get a top Cb, a lb , and probably Dt  Maliek  Collins( Raiders new Defense line coach Rod Marinelli very familiar with him ) in Fa.

Jmo Raiders QB situation will be D Carr, and M Mariota as his backup.   Might draft a QB somewhere in the draft.( James Morgan).

One game does not make a season, and you’re drafting in front of the Raiders again.  The Raiders had one of the best draft last year.  Mike Mayock again gets to work his magic.    Let’s see 5 picks in the first 90 picks, new stadium( sold Team head quarters for 6 times what they paid( 192 million), new stadium totally sold out, no state income tax, and not to mention in top 10 of team with the most cap space.

Lets see Vegas going to be hot spot for A lot of free agents.

What’s he due? 7 million? Coming off a bad injury that most don’t fully return to their prior form. And we have young lb’s who filled in well. That’s 7 mill that can be allocated elsewhere. And to trade him for G Jackson is just as risky as keeping him.

Mayock can't make up for the fact that you have one of the 5 worst coaches in the league, and that may be generous.

It feels like you've been saying this every year going on 15+ years now and yet your team still hasn't won a playoff game in that span. This year will be no different when the Raiders are sucking again and you disappear for months on end.

We need to cut Williamson.  He’s not great, overpaid and coming off an ACL plus we have better cheaper replacements at the same position

We can trade him for something. He’s not valueless and ACL injuries aren’t death sentences anymore

That’s fine if JD can get a 3rd for him I just don’t want this to be a Darron Lee/Hack situation where he’s here forever until the jets can get a late round pick
