I know there are some in the league and some government officials still pushing hard to delay this a week or two. Part of the reason as some stated is the physicals. Teams will require players to go to local hospitals for physicals and also to get tested for covid-19 infections before signing any high level deals. This places undue strain on local hospitals which are already operating at 2/3 capacity. The worry is that players will be taking up doctor time, attention, and space in the hospital from other patients. Schefter was also reporting on this earlier I believe. I think at this point the league tampering period opens at 12 as scheduled, but its been relayed at least to me from some people that there is still a remaining push to delay. We'll see what happens.
