OT: I just tested positive with COVID

Recommended Posts

Someone I work with was diagnosed positive 3 weeks ago and stil came to work. She said “ I don’t care who gets it my husband is dying “

She was escorted out and those who worked directly with her were put on 2 week quarantine

That’s wild man. Be careful, stay hydrated and stock up in mucinex!

This Coronavirus is going to morph into a world wide global human genocide. It's already begining to happen too with over 40,000 already dead around the world (not including the thousands upon thousands currently on death beds) and this number is going to reach millions upon millions of world wide deaths before it ever gets better (if ever @ all).

how is this guy doing? did he pull out of it? I hope so.

I’m good man! Me and the fam are all better ... now some sh*tty news... my company today forced me to take a 30% pay cut, others 40 and up, all non top tier management. My company is owned by conservative Jewish community members from Brooklyn. Shiesty and untrustworthy to say the least (my ceo I mean). No one in the community has had to take a pay cut, I believe due to past lay offs and none of them being a part of it, don’t have fact if that. Growing belief is, CEO doesn’t need to do this, but is rather doing it to put more money in his pocket because he knows we can’t leave as no place is hiring. I’m losing like $30+ k right now022ac840dccd004257b91b96727fff74.jpg&key=c9119108d581e6322f8f1475c6d23d54573891ae983ebc04498dc8c96b2c34b0

If he cut the pay of non-members and didn't touch the salaries of the members of the community, you should be on the phone with a lawyer first thing in the morning. That is a slam dunk class action lawsuit.

Reached out to a lawyer right after I was told. A lot of other shady sh*t goes on there too. Karmas gonna be ugly for them

I say they didn’t based on the fact none were laid off when we let go of 20+ people 2 weeks ago. Don’t have proof though

You can prove who was laid off and who wasn't. If the pattern is that stark and obvious, you win easy, unless the judge is corrupted. Which happens.

Glad you and the fam are healthy!!!

And yeah the war profiteering is inevitable.  My company is doing it as well.  As are all the lobbyists that got pork put into the stimulus bill.

Hey everyone has been good here lately, so thank you for that. The politics thing is tough to avoid but we appreciate the effort.

That being said we have a Ban From Topic feature now. Meaning we have the ability to ban people from individual topics. It is a last resort but a better alternative than a permanent ban.

I hope we don't have to use it. I know we will have to though.

Congrats on getting better! I originally gave this a post of the week but then kept reading and changed it to just a like haha

I'm sorry you have to deal with that kind of paycut. My company forced me to take 20% less before laying me off. Needless to saw I'll be browsing for a new job even after they bring me back.

NY Jets remembering on of their own:

https://www.si.com/nfl/jets/news/jets-fans-weren-t-able-to-attend-the-funeral-of-one-of-their-own-so-Q7WCnFPOUESEAh25AEfTBQ

Social distancing and COVID-19 didn’t stop fans of the New York Jets from paying tribute to one of their own. Martin Gabay passed earlier this week, sparking tributes on social media from fellow Jets fans unable to attended his funeral.

A huge fan of the Jets, Gabay’s passing was met earlier in the week with an outpouring of appreciation and love on fan group pages on Facebook as well as social media posts. Gabay was well known at some of the larger fan tailgates such as the one hosted by the ‘Gotham City Crew’ prior to Jets home games at MetLife Stadium.

Due to the coronavirus, social gatherings including funerals in the tri-state area have been limited to 10 people. Because of these limitations, his daughter posted on social media on March 30 asking fans to remember her father.

Because his fellow Jets fans would not be able to attend the funeral service, they were asked instead to wear Jets colors on March 31 and post to social media, honoring his memory.

PS HAPPY TO HEAR YOU GOOD! MUCH LOVE HOMIE!

My appreciated sir! Believe me, if I could run, I would. I would happily take unemployment rather than working for them. They won’t lay people off though. Supposedly furloughs are coming tomorrow, and with that, I don’t think you can claim unemployment

There have been many many many out of state vehicles spotted all over the interstate. People are trying to run away from the situations they were in, but likely will add to the infestation up here. We dont have the resources to take care of the people living here, so now things will be even more scarce...  Shouldve shut the border down.

I appreciate the offer. I can make it for a while.  I'm a soccer coach and the problem we will have is my kids parents are all losing their jobs which means they won't be able to continue when this ends.  Luckily I can coach at a park while following social distancing.  We might get lucky and get a grant.  I hate taking money, but it might be the only way.

Unfortunately my parents are 81 and had a China virus death near them so we have been staying away from each other. Now if only they weren’t being stupid and making their emergency runs to Braum’s for ice cream. Then again my dad has said before he has lived a decade longer than he thought so they might be in F it mode.
