Fantasy Island
5 hours ago, SAR I said: Manning was a bum with a bad arm when Gase took over. He resurrected his career by building an offense designed for the player he was at that time, not the player he was in the past. Tannehill was a nobody when Gase took over. Look at him today. Darnold was a mess in a new system, coming off of mono, thrown to the wolves against the Patriots. Gase took a broken kid and a broken offense and went on a 6-2 run where Sam was a Top 10 quarterback without a rushing game, without an OL, with XFL caliber receivers. Happy Birthday, Adam. I compare it favorably to 2015, and surely it ended on a better note, you have hope for a future now where in '15 you knew it was a fluke. Backups and third stringers played well, showed we have nice depth. Starters were flexible and helped coach up the young kids. Our broken culture, fixed. Our young QB, validated. Our coaching staff, intact. Is Gase a great HC? The jury is still out. But he's no bum and he deserves the admiration and respect of every Jets fan. SAR I Well his rankings on offense say he is not good. Maybe Darnold can hide his flaws.

I wonder what the Gase haters think the record should have been had he only coached better? I think he did a good job and am excited to see what he can do with a competitive roster. I’m not saying he’s a great coach yet but he certainly deserves the opportunity to show what he can do. I wonder what it would be like if he actually showed up and coach the philly game or won one of the 2 games against win-less teams. You also ignore the fact that his offensives have been bad and for caoch that hangs his hat on being a offensive genius people claim he has not performed in 4 yrs. after 4 yrs there are no excuses if you can only win as a cordinator with a hall of fame qb. But let's ignore all of that we got rid of a bad coach for another bad coach and until he his offense actually performs there are no excuse, injuries or other wise. The defense performed above standards with injuries and less then adequate corners. A good coach can put players into position to succeed and Gase did not do it but Williams did

LSJF
Gase helped get rid of McCoffee, that alone saved our franchise... JD appears to have a plan...praise the friggin lord... Aaron Boone was lauded for keeping the Yanks together with all the injuries they endured...first place and alll... Football is different you’re not winning games with the 3rd string about behind the Swiss cheese line of ours...Gase definitely kept the team together, and Williams effing ruled, keeping the D together w scotch tape... Gase might have a chance to run his offense this year... Facts...Sam had a winning record with the dog crap around him running for his life...other qb’s woulda crumbled...Sam’s the real deal... Mac put us in a hole... Give us an real edge rusher, everyone on D improves, even Q Williams will look better... I’m tired... I hope Gasey got some birthday keppy from his wife... 2
New York Mick
4 hours ago, Defense Wins Championships said: Matt Moore was actually the QB for Adam Gase's playoff wildcard team in Miami and not "Ryan Tannehill' (hurt). So how did Tannerhill "go further in the playoffs without Gase" when it was the other way around as Matt Moore was the QB who played his playoff game with Gase... And not Tanny... Weird. And Derrick Henry dominated the regular season and ESPECIALLY the playoffs as Tennessee's coaching staff wouldn't even let Tannehill threw the freaking football throughout the playoffs lol as Tannehill is a stinking below average to average at best type of game manager, dude. (just ask Titans coaching staff or better yet the opposing defenses who disrespect Ryan as a QB and stack the box full of 8-9 me.). During Tennessee's 2 playoff wins Ryan Tanny only completed (during both games combined x2) 15 passes for only 160 yards hah all while Derrick Henry put up 64 postseason rushing attempts and for 377 playoff rushing yards (5.89 yards per carry!) during their two wins that you're actually really trying to give "Ryan T" credit for, are you kidding me? and during the regular season Derrick Henry put up over 1,500+ rushing yards off of 5.1 yards per carry and 16 rushing TD's. To talk about Ryan Tannerhill's "playoff run" without mentioning DERRICK HENRY shows me just how much of an agenda you really do have against Gase and it's disgusting. And no, Peyton Manning did not win that SB for the Bronco's; he was literally carried there as their 2015 Defense won it for Denver; and still to this day ranks as one of the All-Time great SB winning defenses. Talking up "Manning" for Denver's SB winning defense is just as bad as trying to credit Trent Dilfer for the Ravens instead of their All-Time great 2000 Ray Lewis led SB winning Baltimore Ravens Defense... Because in 2015 Manning only started 9 games for Denver and missed 6 games overall and actually stunk whenever he did play (and only threw 2 TD's during Denver's 2015 playoff/SB run). @ the age of 37 years old Manning put up 55 TD's (his career high) during his first year with Adam Gase as his Offensive Coordinator... So if a defensive guy like Belly gets any type of credit whatsoever for any bit of Tom Brady's offensive success and individual accomplishments? Well, then... You've also got to give a lot of credit to Adam Gase (after 8 years of developing as an offensive assistant coach, QB coach and WR coach) during only his first two years as an NFL offensive coordinator (after being groomed for 8 years) as #18 went... (2013 and 2014 combined)... P. Manning: 32 starts (25-7 record) - 845/1,256 (67.3%), 94 TD's/25 INT's, 10,204 passing yards and a mind boggling QB Rating of 108.7. Manning put up his greatest two year run throughout his entire playing career once alongside of Adam Gase and that's because Adam Gase truly opened up his offenses for him and even despite a 17 year career? During those two years alongside of Gase? He had 1,256 passing attempts (the most passes EVER for Manning during only a two year time span). SB 2015 season (without Gase): 2015 Manning: 7-2 Record - 198/331 (59.8%), 2,249 yards, 9 TD's/17 INT's and an awful QB Rating of only 67.9. To give credit for Manning winning that 2015 SB "without Gase there" just shows me another anti Gase driven agenda and once again, disgusting. You want to preach to us about how Manning actually did "once finally escaping Adam Gase" but yet no mention of his two years of 2013 and 2014 alongside of and with Gase? Absolutely disgusting, man. And? Tannehill went father into the playoffs without Gase as his coach. With Gase he was hurt without him he almost made the super bowl. Yes? As I said Gase doesn’t win playoffs games. He wouldn’t of used Henry properly and probably wouldn’t of even made the playoffs with Tennessee. I’m too lazy to read the other stuff and never interact with you so I don’t care to. Tag me when Gase advances the Jets in the playoffs on a regular basis.

And we see the same bs excuses. A good coach (see Gregg Williams) gets at least mid pack or better performance with a lack of talent. A shi**y coach like gase gets last overall in the league.
