Most Pressing Need as of Right Now?

What are the Jets current most pressing needs?

By "most pressing" we mean a need that should be filled by a 1st , 2nd, or 3rd Rd Draft Pick, a top free agent signee, or a major trade

Even with the bevy of offseason moves addressing the offensive line, it still has to be tackle. WR is right up there as well, but it always starts with the guys up front.

A great line makes the entire offense better.

Offensive tackle by far. Darnold's third year is coming up and other than making sure his weak immune system doesn't buckle under Covid-19 complications, our absolute priority should be to protect him in the pocket.

Yes we need corners, edge rushers and receivers. But none of that matters if every time the opposing defense sends 5 our offensive line folds.

OT, not even close.

WR, yes, Edge sure, CB- ok (although to be honest if we had another good edge rusher I think with our D-line  the combination of Desir, Poole and Bless would hold their own quite well). 

But Fant and Edoga are the only OTs we have on the roster and that is unacceptable. Fant has very little starting experience, so does Edoga. Edoga is coming off injury and struggled when healthy last year. These are the only OTs on the rosters and they aren't starting caliber. If you look at Edge at least we brought back Jenkins, at least we have Basham and solid D-line. At least we know we can generate pressure using Adams. When you look at CB, we brought back Maulet, we brought back Poole, we have Bless who played really well for a rookie, and we brought in Desir. When you look at WR we lost Robby but we brought in Perriman and Herndon should come back next year.

I don’t care how iffy people are on dudes like Fant and Edoga holding down the tackle spots.

I’m more worried about Breshad Perriman and Vyncint Smith as Darnold’s primary outside receivers.

Getting a guy like Jeudy at #11 and an OT like Wanogho or Peart at #48 is more preferable to me than Josh Jones at #11 and a receiver like K.J. Hamler at #48.
