southtown24th
Reasoning for an OT: Folks, we've been looking for our franchise QB for what? Almost 50 years? We finally have someone with a bit of potential (accent on potential) and we are not going to invest in several ways to protect him at all cost? That's asinine. If he can't stand up straight and is constantly running for his life, Jerry Rice can be out there, it's going to be make zero difference. Good news: Joe Douglas seems slow, steady and RATIONAL--which 99.999999% of the NYJ fan base is NOT. Not a chance in hell is this guy going with a first round WR. It's just not in his DNA. And for those of us with some logic and mental wherewithal, this bodes well... 1

Darnold Schwarzenegger
I'd prefer the best wr over the 3rd or 4th best tackle. Jeudy or Lamb all day. And Hopefully another wr in Rd 3. Use Rd 2 & our other 3rd for o-line.

slats
I voted OT because that’s the way I expect them to go. If they surprise me and go WR, I’ll be very excited.
Rangers9
Since they’ve been signing OLs I’ll vote for WR esp if Jeudy still on the board.
Popular Post Untouchable
WR I’d put my money on Jeudy. Again, fans can pray for one of the 4 or 5 top OT’s at #11 until they’re blue in the face. But I guarantee that Douglas and his scouting department don’t have all of these guys rated on the same scale. Douglas is going to have at least 1 of these wideouts ranked ahead of the Wirfs/Becton/Wills/Thomas/Jones group. I’d certainly have no qualms against taking one of the OT’s, but some of you people have become demented with this “draft OL at any cost!” nonsense. As if Darnold couldn’t use a legitimate weapon in the passing game... A tidbit that should be thrown into the equation is that both the Ravens and Eagles during Douglas’ tenures pretty much SUCKED at developing WR talent. Meanwhile they were both pretty damn solid to say the least at identifying OL after the first round. Douglas is a former OL whose supposed strength is identifying talent along the offensive trenches. So why the hell is everyone acting like we’re up sh*ts creek without a paddle unless we draft one in the top half of the 1st round? Give me a legitimate f*cking playmaker that our young QB can implicitly trust. Instead of relying on Breshad Perriman and some 2nd/3rd round rookie as his starting outside receivers. Jeudy projects as a legitimate #1. Lamb projects as a legitimate #1. Ruggs projects as a legitimate #1. Pick your delicious, savory poison. We could very well have our pick of any of the 3. Meanwhile most of you snapdicks are talking about taking maybe the 4th or 5th best OT in this class just because you’re so dead set on going OL in the 1st. Paradis
You need to be a little specific in what you're asking. On the record with what?... who I WANT?.... If i could wish that pick into stalward LT, that would be the choice... But I think there's a decent chance the WR on the board will significant better than the 4th OT.

Vader
I think we might be surprised. OL: we are retrofitting and adding personnel to a new zone scheme. You don’t *need* blue chip OL for this scheme... WR: all the WR at the top have risk. There’s no Calvin Johnson here.

Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley are their top priorities and Gettlemen seemingly has an affinity for freakish, big OL. My guess is Becton is wearing blue and white in 3 weeks. Then you still have teams like the Dolphins, Chargers, Cardinals and Browns ahead of us. You could even throw in teams like the Lions and Panthers as possible threats to take an OT. I’m not nearly as convinced as most that the Dolphins at #5 or the Chargers at #6 are guaranteed to take QB’s. It’s totally plausible that a team like Miami isn’t sold on Tua and takes an OT at #5 and then looks to take a guy like Herbert or Love in the teens or mid-20’s with one of their other two 1st rounders. It’s also possible that they bypass QB in the first two rounds altogether, continue to build the core of their team, and look to go all in on someone like Lawrence or Fields next year.

Sout0266
If we stay at 11-becton my preference would be to trade down to the 20-25 pick and grab one of the next tier of OT....preferably Cleveland then use the extra capital to fill more holes

I honestly couldn’t care less You could guarantee me right now that Okudah is Marshon Lattimore 2.0 and I’d still rather gamble on Jeudy being the next Reggie Wayne, Lamb being the next DeAndre Hopkins, Ruggs being the next Tyreek Hill/Antonio Brown or a guy like Andrew Thomas just being a steady, reliable starting OT for a decade. Unless 10 other GM’s faceplant in front of us and Chase Young is magically available, then you take the best available WR/OT at #11, period. 1
Jetfan4life78
I wouldn't mind taking Becton if he's there at 11. With his size, speed, and athletic ability, how the hell could you pass him up honestly? Imo anyway. I guess I just feel like we can add quality receivers between rounds 2-4.
