He's completely forgotten about his meltdown with 3 4th Quarter INT's week 17 Buffalo (that prevented us from making the playoffs); before stealing off-season money with a Revis-like Holdout and then completely pissing the season away the very next season - before being replaced by another career loser in McCown; He's actually one of the worst Jet QB's of All-Time (all things involved).

He went from Fitzpatrick to Fitzmagic (wk 1-16) to Fitztragic (wk 17) to absolute sh*tztragic (following year) ala he sucked.

I didn't forget about that. He often did suck. But, so far, Sam has always sucked. Not saying he can't improve, but Fitz's two years were better than Darnold's two years.

Wow!

That's a decade worth of the Jets BEST offense right there!  Gotta say just how sad that is.  We surely have some notable players but some of the best were simply one year rentals or guys acquired from other teams (LaDainian, Braylon Edwards, Brandon Marshall, etc.).

Mangold and D'Brick clearly shine as the two best "home grown" talents IMO.

Moral of this story - It's time to Draft offense!!! Overdue in fact.  Let's change this script so that when @Sarge4Tide does this poll again in 2030 we're smiling as we make selections.....and not cringing and struggling to find great players like I was for each of these questions.

yep. wow, fitzy outpolling sanchez.  i can see where fitzy deserves some praise for the one season but it didn't take him long to revert to form. imo sanchez' sin was not being the franchise qb he was supposed to be.

Ehh, honestly, it was a close call for me. Both had quite a few great and sh*tty moments.

Mark helped us win.  Fitz had as much talent around him (much more on offense actually) against a creampuff schedule and still couldn't help us get to the playoffs.

Sanchez had just as much talent around him. Jones, Richardson, Cotch, Edwards, Keller, D'Brick, Faneca, Mangold, Moore, Woody.

Better OL (best in the NFL, actually), worse, but still good, WRs. Much better HB. Best FB in the NFL.

Marshall and Decker were better than anyone around Sanchez and remember Jones and LT were older, he got braylon 4 games into 09 and Holmes 4 games into 10.

Jones and Greene 2009: 4.4 YPC

Greene and LT 2010: 4.2 YPC

Ivory and Powell 2015: 4.4 YPC
