Lol no. You're lucky Pac likes to write game related scenes. Take what you can get pleb.

All you newbies better prepare for pain this is going to be the single most frustrating game you will ever play. It will be so bad you will not want to play conversion games ever again in the future.

@Leelou what happened last time you ran a conversion game? Someone outed the scum team everyone screamed at each other and tried to quit right?

Yeah...this is going to be a long game. Sigh.

You’d get a better answer out of @Verbal

You guys think we're worthy of Netflix special?  Being quarantined, I've literally browsed their entire library.  They've got every type of documentary/docu series about anything you could ever imagine on there.  I think we could create and epic one.  We could call it: The Mafia, not that one.  Our tag line for the the story:  These dudes have been playing a guess who game for 20 years on a Football forum and have never met.....until now.

It obviously starts off like a reunion episode of some reality show.  All of us on a stage on chairs ready to gossip.  Then we'd have like a Tarantino character intro.

JiF - walks out ouf the ocean, board under his arm, shirtless, suns out guns out.  Goes home plays with his 2 dogs, kisses his wife, take 5 bong rips, opens up JN...

CTM - coming home from a phish show on heavy hallucinogens, gets in uber to take him home, doesnt quite get home as he stops a bunch of seedy "speak easies" as he calls them for show purposes, gets home, doesnt shower, falls in bad, wakes up, doesnt shower, ruins something, scares the life of little children and then opens up JN...

Hess - the camera is in the back seat of his car, he's driving, looking dapper as ever, doing 90, screaming at everyone on the highway, phone in hand...he opens JN....

Pac - sits in his basement listening to his favorite Joe Jackson album, grooving out with a white russian, starts dancing alone, sh*t gets weird, camera pans away, lady friend walks into the room, screams "wtf are you doing", Pac drops his white russian, camera cuts out so no one can see the shame, camera starts back up with Pac opening JN....

Crusher - the camera follows him to Golden Corral, they do a time lapse on the screen after he shoves plate after plate down his throat, they then follow him to his 2nd all you can eat lunch spot, repeat, he drives home, intro's you to his dogs/family, breaks down some life of love for a minute.  Grabs a bourbon and opens up JN....

Ape - wont let the camera man film him.  His face is blurred out and his voice is distorted.  He wont even open up JN on his computer in front of the camera man.

Nold - wakes up from a nap, walk ups stairs, mom yells at him, walks back downs stairs, takes a nap, wakes up for nap, looks at the stairwell, opps not to go up there because the real world awaits, looks over his Pokemon posters, smiles, sits down at his desk, opens up JN....

Leelou - camera start with her sleeping, wakes up, she looks like the angel she is, waters her garden, walks the dog but on the dog walk, someone looks at her cross and you can see rage building up in her.  It frightens the camera crew who gives her a strange look and the next thing you know, she goes full tilt rage on the camera men in the middle of her white suburban neighborhood. Camera cuts out, starts up again with her sitting in a lovely white room with flowers everywhere sipping a cup of tea as she opens up JN....

Nyn - fully decked out in her uniform, she walks the streets of whatever gnarly country she's in at this point, AR in hand, fully stocked weapons belt, teflon, just looking like a boss.  Gets approached by some smarmy looking character, starts rattling off in a language the viewers have never heard, she's step to this mans face screams his native tongue at him like she's lived there her whole life, smacks the ****er hard, walks back to her home, opens up JN....

Verb - the camera man pans over to Verb as he's getting ready for the day, they film an extra long pause as he seems to be looking for his penis while he dresses, seemingly locates it.  And in fitting fashion before he can even say a word, the next character appears on screen.

JC - he's tossing in one hand a magic 8ball, it lands on, "maybe".  In the background you can hear some moaning, the camera slighlty picks up a raunchy porno on his TV, highlighting a mans enormously fake dong.  The camera man pans back to JC who simply smiles and gives him a wink as he opens up JN...

AVM - the camera man films him leaving work.  AVM is just doing his thing, packing up for the day, walks outside and notices a man with an umbrella.  Oddly, this frightens AVM so much that he runs back inside and locks himself in a janitorial closet and will not let the camera crew insides, luckily, AVM is wearing a body cam that shows him bust out his phone and opens up JN...

SMC - he's sitting at the kitchen table with his family, JN already opened up and explaining to his son every single wrong move every player in the game has made and how obvious everyone is that they're scum and how terrible the mod is for making such a game.

DPR - makes a bunch of random appearances, fully inebriated, not really making any sense at all, sounding like a pirate ending everything he says with arrrggggg but the words that you do make out, are some deeply profound sh*t like; did you know that the sun never stops shining?  That's right, god doesnt turn it off at night when you go to sleep.  You just think does.  Arrrrgggg.

The rest of you would make appearances as well, giving input into the main characters.  Obviously much of the show will be revolved around Crusher and I because everyone loves a good love story but then we get into; great games, clever play, bad games, bad play, rivalries, emo meltdowns, players of the past, etc.

Thoughts?

I know I joked earlier about crying while laughing but this post literally had me in tears. Especially the Hess and Ape ones. Well ******* played. I would do it.

They need to do a “ Where are the Now” episode.

Vic- Camera makes its way through a Cross Fit gym until it comes across a 5’ 4” inch 133 lb Aztec warrior looking dude deadlifting 405 lb with one arm, playing a first person shooter with the other while sporting a very impressive erection. Camera looks at the shelf and there’s a picture of his family next to a picture of his browser open to JN mafia. The JN mafia picture is covered with dust.

I want to know where the guy Ape called fat is. I bet he's ripped now and has an unhealthy hatred of zoos.

Sounds like we are basically screwed.

https://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Cult

Use and Power

If the Cult is not exterminated within the first two game Days, they almost inevitably win. Therefore, you shouldn't use these unless other people have told you you know what you are doing.

Most attempts at balancing a Cult need to address two problems: a swing issue (in which killing the Cult Leader early makes the Cult a non-issue, but failing to do so leaves them very powerful), and the issue that the cult can typically recruit as fast (or faster) than the town can lynch them. Balanced games containing a Cult nearly always need to have some means of slowing the Cult down. This is much easier to do via a change to the game mechanics (or to the Cult mechanics) than it is using power roles; although roles like Alarmist help, they come nowhere close to the amount of power needed to keep the Cult in check.

This is why I'm done.  Conversion games are legit the dumbest sh*t on the face of the planet and HUGE waste of everyone's time who isnt cult or scum.  Just really stupid to run this set up, honestly.  Especially after the last 2 games.

Oh well, hopefully I die tonight.  Not sure if I mentioned but I'm heavily rolled.

To be fair it does sound like the recruitment failed

Sure, so we get 1 extra day of meaningful game play until a conversion comes and nothing matters anymore.

Still stupid as **** and I'm done trying and better yet, I really hope I die tonight because I'm heavily and I mean, heavily rolled.

Thanks.  I worked hard to keep it cordial and fit in.  Obviously, I like the JN "no-holds barred" atmosphere better but DM had some good writers/players.  I've never moderated but if do there is a game that continually stands out for the sheer creativity.  It was many years ago and it wasn't one of the more common mods but it challenged my simple mind and was very enjoyable.  Hopefully, it (DM) doesn't go off line like Myndjack.

Holy sh*t, I was one of the original members (on staff) for MJ.  I almost took Mynd's offer to host the MJ server when it was starting to dwindle, but I was an Admin on DM by that time and didn't have any extra time for it.  Cool that you were there, I didn't remember!

Nah by the time I got into things it was already down or close to. But I've come across a lot of refugees that spoke of it. sounds like it was quite a place.

One of them was a guy called Mynd. Crazy guy.

It was awesome for the 2-3 years it lasted.

Anyway... good times. RIP DMafia

We could always bring DM Mafia back at some point, not too difficult.
