It’s funny when it comes to Jamal there isn’t a middle ground.  There are those who want him gone ASAP and then those who feel he is super elite and should be untouchable.  I’m more neutral.  I’m open for a trade but I need ALOT back.  On the flip side I don’t think he as good as he thinks he is but there is no question he is a bigtime talent and having him on the defense is a great weapon.

That is a given. It is there for all to see. Question is 

- Is he so good you think you can make a SB run with him before he is a FA (if Jets playoff team they use Franchise etc)

- Or realize his heart is with Cowboys, his family there and if you 90% sure he will bolt, get maximum value before you lose him for nothing (especially if you think a SB run is a bit 'down the road'

Because if it’s not Jamal’s camp then it’s the Jets front office. The leak serves a purpose so you ask yourself “Cui Bono?” It’s either Adams camp or front office.

This is why I want to trade him. I do think if we can't get fair value we should hold onto him and them tag him so we hold him for 3 years. Then let him walk for the 3rd round comp pick if a tag and trade can't be worked out after the 3rd year.

The only problem is that Jamal would’ve denied that he was not going to participate if it wasn’t true. Denying the root of the leak and denying the leak are different things. If the Cowboys leaked it then why would they know?

You’ll recall that Jamal went radio silent leading up to the trade deadline last year, too, but he was talking with his buddies about getting to Dallas. If Jamal is quiet this week, it could be a similar dynamic—his agent telling him to shut up and let it play out

The problem here is Jamal Adams personality is going to make it extremely hard to deal with if you tag him and keep control over him for 3 years. Just trade him for the max value available and call it a day.

i totally agree,,which means he probably is FA quicker unless miracle happens and he signs longterm Jet deal. He wants Cowboys and only way he MAY stay is if he still here 2020, Gase fired and Gregg gets HC gig..then 'maybe'

Yea but I'd rather overpay for Edge than overpay for Safety, Jets would likely get an additional pick thrown in due to the contract value (rookie deal vs franchise tag)

Adams isn't Trent Williams saying he will never play another down for the Redskins as long as he lives because he doesn't like how they handled his medical situation.  The Cowboys know he wants to go there and that seems to be "his" team.  I don't doubt for a second they would have a source that knew about this kind of sh*t.  I wouldn't really blame him.  Put me in the NFL as a stud and I would be trying to finagle myself to a huge contract with the Jets.  No joke.

Right.  Him being quiet is kind of a mature - listen to your agent thing.  You couldn't imagine the amount of times people ignore smart, valid advice from those that know better.  I would expect Adams to be like Joe Exotic demanding to testify and hanging himself at his own trial.  The fact he is quiet is for the best.

Damn man.  I would take the #5 overall for the exact reason you mentioned. having almost the pick of the litter at T (Giants) AND the pick of the litter at WR in this draft???  Jesus. 

Then that would give us one of the top 3 Edge or CB's in the 2nd and another WR in the 3rd. That one would be a landscape changing move. 

Plus we get to send Jamal to the tundra of Detroit!  I love Jamal but as soon as he's gone I will hate him like almost no other.  lol
