Otter
gonna go shoot the bow heck yes I went out to a restaurant in Watkins Glen a few weeks ago. During hunting season the bow hunters come in and shoot their arrows into the wall. There are thousands of arrows stuck in those walls. Sorta scary. war ensemble
Just finished The Brothers Karamazov today...I read the first half of that book three times during the school year but sh*t popped up and I couldn't get to finishing it. Read it cover to cover over the past 3 days or so.
124
So tonight was supposed to be me, two other associates and the General Manager closing. Of course the other two pukes call out leaving me and the GM to run the store alone for 4 hours. Of course 10 minutes before we close, a mother and daughter with no lives come strolling in at 8:50. I got them out at 8:58. I was very happy. OH, and surprise, it rained again today.

#27TheDominator
Tell me about it. I just got a solid one hour's sleep here. Doh. I'm working on my fourth year of jet lag. I'm a night person in NY. Over here it is six hours later. I can rarely fall asleep before 1:30 - 2:00 a.m. That's not too bad, but over time it adds up. I hear that lack of sleep leads to mental illness. Connection? Haha, I hope I don't have those mental illnesses yet. I usually only end up with a few hour's sleep a night--but every so often I go into a daylong slumber to "make up" for the lost time. I do get mad headaches though and apparently insomnia doesn't help that. Edited June 24, 2009 by war ensemble

At least you haven't had this problem too long. You're young, you can correct it. An old bastard like me is destined for dementia. My poor wife. LoneStarLady
Summertime fences are fun in comparison with summertime roofing. We're getting a new roof put on in two weeks. Everyone in this area has gotten or will get a new roof because of a terrible hailstorm. I don't know how the guys do it, except that I hear them starting around 7 in the morning on other people's roofs. It's so friggin hot, been over 100 everyday for almost a week and will be for at least the next week. Yesterday was 110 on the back porch when the sun was beating down on the thermometer. I can't imagine working outside on roofs in that heat.

I loved living in the SF Bay Area. For eight years we didn't need A/C. Fog comes over the Golden Gate at around 6PM and cools everything down until the next day--usually mid-morning--when it burns off.

Sorry to hear that, never a good reason to travel. It's been great here all week, I've had to do some work outside, helping the neighbours with silage, etc, and I've got a tan. Crazy. As long as it stays good til after the AC/DC show Sunday, that's all I want.
