'Twas the Night Before Draftmas (poem, abridged version)

When all through the 1 Jets Drive house, not a creature was stirring, not even anything due to the Coronavirus mouse,

The virtual draft board was hung online with care,

With hopes that Saint Joe Douglas would soon be there;

Jets fans were all nestled in their beds;

While visions of wide receivers and o-linemen danced in their head;

And Jets cheerleaders in their kerchiefs, and I my Jets cap,

Will soon settle our brains for a springtime's nap,

When out on NFL Network there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter,

What to my eyes did appear,

A miniature sleigh, and the Jets 2020 Jets team of good cheer;

Then I heard Saint Douglas exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,

"Happy Draftmas to all, and to all a good night!"

As my wife and daughter both sleep.

I've got baked cookies going in the over right now. 

I cant sleep thinking about the draft. 

I hope the draft isn't the last sporting event over the next 12 months. 

As a 2020 without a football season couldn't become 2021 soon enough.
