screw defense

Hell yes.  Defense can be the focus in the remaining free agent pickups and next year's draft.  Let Gregg Williams figure it out.

Let's go fellas! Hopefully there is a run on running backs, safeties and DT's

Agreed except for the RBs part.  I'd like a few nice ones to be available to us at 68.

Yesterday I wanted a big fella to block for Sam. Rocked my boxers with elephants. Got the job done.

Rocking the lightning bolts today. We’re going to add some speed, break some pressure, and burst some pipes.

Or draft Harry Potter.

What's his 3-cone time?

Pick is in.  No trade down happening here.  I'm sure Cincy took a lot of calls between last night and today though....

I can easily see the BAP as defense at 48 and then douglas panics and trades up for peoples jones in round 2.

Zero evidence thus far in his tenure to suggest Joe Douglas will panic at any point tonight.

Thank you for your restraint.  I don't know why people insisted on doing this last night despite being told repeatedly not to.

Terrible start.

Yes, but we were never going to have a shot at Higgins regardless without burning a lot of valuable draft capital to move up.

gotta trade to get a wr

Only if we're talking Pittman and Mims.  Plenty of quality options available to us if we're willing to forego these 3.

The Bengals, a team that didn't "need" WR just took one off the board. We now have an extremely slim shot at Mims or Pittman falling to us.

Of course they needed a WR.  A.J. Green is toast, and they just drafted a new young franchise QB.

Wow, it’s almost like some positions are more important than others. Who knew?

It's as if people don't understand how much a Safety can help you sheesh

Bracing for OL, Edge or CB here for us, if all the R2 graded WR are gone.

Okay not getting one, but don’t effing reach.

Trade down would be my top choice.

Well for being such a “deep” WR class the Jets aren’t gonna get any of em

There are about 15 receivers left worth taking in the Round 2-3 range.  Chillax.

Not looking good for a potential #1 WR at 48. This is what I was afraid of by passing up Jeudy, Ruggs and Lamb

There are about 6-10 potential WR1s still on the board.

Nobody needs DBs or pass rushers anymore. These teams already have solid WRs. **** off!

Most GM's have a decent understanding of positional importance.  You can never have enough quality WRs.  They're valuable trade chips down the road.

We need playmakers for the QB. If the top 2 WR's are Crowder and Perriman it'll be a disaster.

They won't be.

It Cleveland/Jones are available I’ll be pissed.

Trade up JD. Where you at? He must be hanging with Becton eating cheeseburgers at White Castle.

No trade up unless it's just our 4th rounder.

They're only WR1's for the Jets because we have a bunch of WR2's and WR3's.

As long as we get a capable WR1 I don't care if it's a lower end one.

And of the 6-10 guys I'm thinking are WR1's, I would say there are 3-4 that won't be low-end WR1 talents.

Oh look.  9 picks away and still plenty of receivers left.

Now is the time I'd support trading up for Mims.  Shouldn't cost us either of our 3rd rounders.

It's a good thing JD doesn't panic like a b*tch like many of you did 20 minutes ago.

Marlon Mack and Jonathan Taylor in the same backfield. Seems like a waste of resources.

I don't agree.  Their OL is already solid and they now have T.Y. and Pittman as their top 2 WRs.  RB made sense there.

Am I dumb if I want to take Jones and double dip?

Not dumb, but I see no reason to.  I think we're all set at OT.  If we really need more help there we can always add Jason Peters.

Still hope he grabs a Center at some point.  3rd/4th round.

Who is Mims and what position does he play?  I haven't watched a full college game since 1999.

WR, Baylor.  He's one of the players on the list of guys Douglas interviewed.

6-3, 216 lbs speed guy (4.38 40).

Barring a trade we should have a shot at mims.

Yep.  And if not, trade down.  I'd also be OK with taking someone like Bryan Edwards or Chase Claypool at 48.

We have luck with 6 3 speed guys in the 2nd round!

Wasn't as interested in Hamler.  I view him as more of a slot guy.
