Popular Post jvill 51
Wasn’t thrilled with the safety, can’t say I really studied up on the secondary this year, but from all accounts the guy is an elite athlete who can fly around centerfield making plays and might get some run at corner. I could quibble with the position and could quibble with which pick he used but he gets a ton of leeway after that masterclass he put on in the second round. I mean, seriously. After the first two picks in the second I was clamoring for a trade up to go get Mims, thinking we’d have to give up 48 and a 4th to move up. Instead, Joe D turned the number 48 pick into: the same guy I was willing to trade up for, two 4th round picks, and a 6th next year. I don’t think we’ve had a GM able to manipulate the draft like that ever, and it feels really damn good. It also feels really damn good to prioritize speed, athleticism, and explosiveness on both sides of the ball. At the very least this team is going to be bigger, stronger, and faster than it has been in quite some time. We’ll see what the end result is, but I’m loving the processes being put in place. 5
NYDreamer
I recorded the Senior Bowl and the East West Shrine game. I love going back this week to watch the players the Jets select from the draft...Praline rb, Mims, and Mann the punter were at Senior Bowl. WB Morgan was at shrine game. This is where Phil Savage and front office do a great job scouting. Focusing on our guys makes it funSent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
