ScarletKnight89
Not the biggest fan of the pick but we'll see how it turns out. 1 1
Jetlife33
Seems like his ceiling is RB2, but that’s what we need right now, probably plays right away backing up bell.
RoadFan
I've seen Perine in person at the Swamp a couple of times. Not a great athlete, just OK. The positive is he is versatile and makes good choices. He gets what is blocked. Good in pass pro. Will churn out an extra yard or two. A fighter. Perine just isnt going to make something out of nothing. Jetlife33 is about right. Likely a backup and rotational player.

As far as scheme fit goes I think Perine fits the one cut and go style that Gase’s zone blocking scheme requires. McFarland while faster tends to dance around a little much. I can see the logic behind the Perine selection. 10
Jets723
I think Perine is the better fit for us. I know McFarland is the “sexier” name but I like our pick

I wasn’t saying you were, just that a lot of people were wanting McFarland and he went just a few picks later. At least there is a viable RB2 that isn’t 32 years old.
kdels62
I wanted a bit more explosion but Perrine is a guy that can play. I’m not super excited but he can be a steady presence here for a few years. Gase seemed to really like Trenton Cannon before his injury so maybe they’re willing to wait for him.
TNJet
Perine and Morgan are depth signings. And we need them. Remember Falk and Cannon? Ugh. 3
Ghost420
Bell ran a 4.6 also just saying. He can succeed with that speed.
Ghost420
Frank Gore ran a 4.58 and has had a great and consistent career. 2
Jetlife33
Does he remind anyone else of Shonn Greene? Lazy comp maybe, but size speed to the naked eye seems similar

Because of his speed think Cannon sticks around at least one more year. Think it's our ole friend Powell that's gone, Perine is actually a similar RB

For some reason people thought we were gonna get a top flight RB in around 4 ?. Perine is a good smart RB. Not flashy but provides good depth which we need

If he is, that's not a bad use of a fourth round pick. 4
ChuckkieB
Happy with this pick. .Not explosive but smart and tough. I think he'll fit well into the Gase offense.

If only we had a mammoth Tackle to bust open some holes for him. Oh wait! 7

Does everything fairly well, but does nothing great. The ol' cliche fits for Perine... "jack of all trades, master of none."
