I'm guessing they want to see how injured players respond in practice before deciding how to fill that final roster spot. Started with 7, then the Smiths went onto IR and Mims followed them this week. They did elevate Josh Malone for the game last week, and might do the same this week or add him to the 53 permanently. One of them (Hogan) wasn't on the team 2 months ago. The other (Perriman) is also new to the team and didn't practice for 2-3 weeks leading up to the game. What we had out there on offense Sunday was a disgrace, especially considering the 2nd half RB depth chart of RB1 Frank Gore and RB2 Josh Adams. How soon do they need to be either put on the active roster or moved to the PS?
