Jetlife33
According to Michael Silver of NFL Media, free agent RB Devonta Freemanbelieves he’s worth more than the offers he has received from NFL teams. Silver reports that Freeman has insisted he’s willing to sit out and even skip the 2020 season if he doesn’t receive the kind of offer he’s looking for. The Seahawks were reportedly offering Freeman a one-year contract worth up to $4 million with a base value of less than $3 million. Freeman declined Seattle’s offer and the Seahawks opted to give the deal to Carlos Hyde instead. The Eagles and Jets have both been linked to Freeman. However, the Jets have signed Frank Gore in recent weeks, so unless Philadelphia is willing to meet his asking price, Freeman may have to wait for an injury to open up the right opportunity. So he's threatening to hold out.....with the entire league? lol. That's not how this works, Devonta. Your value is the highest amount someone is willing to pay. If the most you're getting offered is 1 year, $3-4M.....Then that's your value.

The high-profile pass rusher turned down an offer from the Browns, ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter said during a radio interview with ESPN Cleveland (Twitter link). The Browns have offered Clowney the most money thus far, Schefter adds. While the Clowney-to-Cleveland door may not be fully closed, it does appear the former No. 1 overall pick has doubts about such a scenario. As this lengthy process has unfolded, Clowney has received interest from the Browns, Titans and Seahawks. Earlier on, however, Clowney reportedly expressed interest in joining the Giants or Jets. Neither New York team, despite apparent edge defender needs, has strongly reciprocated such interest.

White was with the Jets through camp last year. He was with the Ravens in 2017 (on IR) and in 2018 he beat out Perriman, and got some run as a return man after they cut my boy Janarion Grant after a couple of fumbles. I guess they lost interest in him when they picked up Berrios. I think everybody was so in love with Dortch that they forgot this guy, but he was decent enough for a backend WR/return man.

I picked Cantrell in the JN mock in 2018. I took him at 161 for the Ravens and the Chargers picked him at 162 or something like that. I took him before Valdes-Scantling with 2 of my 6ths while I loaded up on WRs. The actual Ravens took Hurst and Andrews instead. Cantrell had an excellent cone time and a bunch of production, but all the Big 12 WR's don't translate talk probably applies to him. His RAS and SPARQ were off the charts. Big dude with crazy agility, but mid-4.5 runner. His arm length wasn't great, particularly for someone 6'3" 220. I think he is pretty much a big slot, maybe somebody might turn him to a move TE. I assume he doesn't add much on specials or he'd probably have spent more time on roster instead of the practice squad.

Nice call. He is an example of my changing theories on WR. I used to want big and fast. Then I began to become obsessed with agility times. Plenty of people did after Welker. It is one of the things on Berrios. Thing is, some of these big guys with great agility times don't really seem like they have good agility times. Miles Boykin, I'm looking at you! Sorry, that was another of my mock draft picks. It will be interesting to see how Claypool pans out. Cantell is a big slot with phenomenal agility numbers but his arm length is fairly short, so I'm not sure how he profiles. He is big enough to carve out a Neal Sterling type role as a move TE, but I am not sure that he will ever get past that. Downfield blocking was touting in some of his profile, so you'd assume he has the desire. He was waived injured, so his health may be a concern.

Jetsfan80
DT Timmy Jernigan no longer signing with the Texans. He was undoubtedly scouted by Douglas when he was in Baltimore, as he was drafted in the 2nd round by the Ravens in 2014, then joined Douglas in Philly in a draft night trade in 2017. If we had any need for a DT, this would be a lock signing for Douglas. Maybe in a future season when we shed some of the Macc DT's. Jernigan has collected 17.5 sacks, 29 TFLs and 47 QB Hits over his 6-year career. https://www.nfl.com/news/dt-timmy-jernigan-no-longer-expected-to-sign-with-texans DT Timmy Jernigan no longer expected to sign with Texans Grant Gordon NFL.COM DIGITAL CONTENT PRODUCER After three seasons with the Eagles, it appeared defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan was heading to the Texans. That no longer is the case. Jernigan, who had reached an agreement on a one-year, $3.25 million deal with Houston, is not expected to sign with the team, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday evening, according to sources informed of the situation. Jernigan did not take a physical with the Texans and is not expected to do so, Garafolo added, with each side agreeing to part ways. Having played in only 13 games over the previous two seasons due to neck and foot injuries, Jernigan was previously cleared by spinal specialist Robert Watkins. However, he won't be heading to Houston. A member of the Ravens for the first three seasons of his career, Jernigan began his stay in Philly in 2017 and started 15 games during the Eagles' Super Bowl run. As aforementioned, he played sparingly in the two seasons that followed with only 12 combined starts. Now he's once again a free agent and looking for another new start.
