individual football play is based largely on physics.... bigger and faster beats smaller and slower every time.

Mims will have an additional 20+ receptions just from screens next year. He'll probably end up with 50-60 if he stays healthy.

Why did I their speeds change from the "The Firm or Perriman, Crowder and Mims" thread?🤔

Why are people still counting on Q for anything. Sorry but if , and it’s a huge if, he is cleared medically to play the guy is an average joe on field. at this point he’s played less with Sam then everyone except Perriman, Doctson, Mims

He’s already revealed more about his philosophy than Mac ever did. Never heard a single thought from him about football in his entire tenure

And this is how the Rangers turned themselves around and how the '10 Jets went to back to back championship games.

Speed kills.

Pretty sure it was big bodies grounding and pounding.

Vick/CJ2k/Harvin was the fastest team the Jets had and resulted in a whopping record of 4-12

Laugh now but I can definitely see him as tackle-eligible or even running the ball like Fridge. Seriously the guy has decent acceleration, could anyone prevent him from getting the conversion on 4th and goal from the one?

We have our "Fridge"!

I am just surprised that you think that Enunwa can still play more than 1 down without getting seriously injured. No offense to you.

Seems like everyone hates Perriman but I think Perriman and Mims can rival Decker/Marshall Edwards/Holmes within a couple years, if not right from Game 1. I went back and watched Perriman, he still needs to be more precise on route running but I do not think the last 5 games were an aberration. Plus the Jets should be able to abuse the middle of the field in 11 personnel. Imagine 11 personnel, Mims and Vyncint wide left Perriman mid right, Herndon or Grffin in line weak. Mims on the GO, Smith skinny pose/slant , Perrminan slant and go. How does the defense defend the numbers? As long as 5 man protection holds up the seam to TE and swing route to Bell on either side should be open all day. If they play Tampa 2 the draw to Bell should be a guaranteed 6-7 yards and against single high you will have two 1 on 1s

Don't under-estimate the transformational  impact of swapping a #4 receiver with a #1 even a rookie one.

Exciting to think about. And don't underestimate the value and power of protection for Sam. These guys we are sending out there are fast! Add Crowder's shiftiness into that mix and we really may have something here. I believe in Sam Darnold and think he has overproduced his situation so I lean that way here.  I can get why some people are not sold yet, but I'm in the believer camp.

Adding Mims and Perriman to the WR group and a protected Sam Darnold can develop into something special. And who the hell knows what Doctson can bring to the table. I see him as battling with V Smith and Berrios, but he's here.

I read somewhere where the idea was presented that adding Perriman and Doctson essentially gives JD and the Jets two additional first rdrs. I like that. Don't necessarily buy it 100% but I like it.  Perriman is a stud and has just taken more time than was presumed to Gert it going. He's going to be a nice compliment to Crowder and Mims.

You should have put the size of those fast players.  That's what breaks the pipe.

Some of those fast guys have excellent size

At least 2/3 of those guys had long before lost their fastball.  That's why they were available.

1) They replaced him with a faster player

2) Because he's on the roster

Some people people  Really thought we where gonna take 4.6+ spd WRs even after he said this.  I knew Gase love his speedsters at WR. Seem Douglas loves the same thing. Which is actually good for us cause then we won’t draft kerley types anymore.

what tears?  It's a one-year deal.  No risk there.  Smart signing and I think most people feel that way.  Do I expect much out of Perriman? Not really, but it would be nice to be pleasantly surprised for once.  Certainly nothing to slam JD about signing him except for people who are still butt-hurt over Robby Anderson.
