pdxgreen
"Believe" they will sign? What the hell does THAT mean?! Are they in negotiations or not? Manish doesn't have their inner thoughts on his laptop from hiring an empath!

Prez33
All jokes aside, this is the move I wanted to happen. The CB position was too questionable behind Desir and Poole. Now hopefully Mehta has got his facts straight for a change and we get this done.

Rhg1084
Great move for the defense/secondary! There’s a lot of DBs on this roster now should be interested to see who makes the team

nj meadowlands
Really really like what JD did with the CB room. From top (Desir/Ryan) through the middle (Maulet/Wilson) to the bottom (Guidry/Jackson). Can we swap out Winters for Warford and get this thing going?
Prez33
Now maybe sign Marcus Golden just to add a little beef to the Edge position. 2

pdxgreen
If we do get Logan, (and I still don't believe that comes out of Mehta's sewer) that defense is actually something that legitimately looks Top 10 and maybe even top 5 potential. The depth at LB is STACKED and the CB's would be great rotation. All kind of depends if we can get up the pass rush numbers a bit.
Jetlife33
It was rumored as late as a few days ago that he was still looking for 10 million a year, the fact it’s a one year deal makes that possible, but seeing what JD has done this offseason I’d imagine he got him for less than that. Popular Post KRL
With Brady leaving NE the starting QB's in the division are either going to be unreliable (Fitzpatrick) or young/unproven (Allen, Stidham, Tua). A Gregg Williams defense with pieces like Adams, Mosley, Q. Williams, Desir, Ryan, Maye etc... will terrorize the QB's in the division. Hope its true, I don't trust Mehta
rangerous
ryan is a good corner. it's short term so it won't make any difference after this season and it's probably not for trumaine money.

Prez33
Douglas went on the Kay show a month ago and talked about how much he liked Winters. So I don’t know if we’ll be releasing him to free up more money. But the Trumaine Johnson relief comes June 1. So we will have some more spending money even beyond the money needed for signing draft picks.

pdxgreen
We aren't getting rid of Winters. We need OL depth and he played an entire season with half his shoulder hanging off. Douglas rewards that kind of effort because he wants to send a message to the locker room. The days of half assing it and trying to work your way around rehab and playing hard are over. You sacrifice or you are gone. And if you go that extra mile you are rewarded.

Ryan, Desir, Poole, Maulet, Austin, Hall. No true #1, but a lot of depth and good enough players.
