Anyway, I am into the idea of signing Logan Ryan but he had 114 targets and allowed 80 catches, both first in the league. How good is Logan Ryan on third down? Is there any way to check that? I say this because we play like the best defense in the league on 1st & 2nd down, and I bet that could even be true, but how often do we let up that big third down? He’s been a mild disappointment because of where he was drafted, but he still played pretty well in the slot mostly for Cincy. Not sure if the Jets would pivot to him if the Ryan thing blows up. Logan Ryan is predominately a slot corner too. I don’t know how Greg Williams views these guys. The question is whether or not Dennard can play inside and outside like Ryan. If he can, then it’ll be a good fallback option. But if Dennard is solely a slot CB, then you’re right, Poole has got that covered with A. Davis waiting in the wings. T0mShane Posted May 13, 2020 Share Posted May 13, 2020 So, it would appear that Ryan wants to go to Miami, but needs Miami to bump up their offer, so someone in the Ryan camp calls up Manish to say that the Jets are set to sign him, which Manish runs with, which Schefter sees, RTs, then presumably deletes after making a phone call, and then Cimini and Costello hedge on by saying “Jets are interested in...” Feels like Ryan comes here only if Miami bails.
