#27TheDominator 211,103
I saw this fight before I was 10 years old. Even then I thought the ref should be arrested. http://www.boxing.com/towering_and_glowering.html Tiger WIlliams has some great quotes.

You sir are a true boxing fan. Corrales vs Castillo was epic. I'll throw in Ali vs Frazier III (Manila) and Bobby Chacon vs Bazooka Limon IV (1982) 1

So many great fights between the great Mexican fighters of that era, lots of those fights in the Inglewood Forum. Danny Little Red Lopez, Albert Davila, Alfonso Zamora, Carlos Zarate, Chacon. Edit: Of course I forgot the greatest of them all, Salvador Sanchez 1
CTJetsFan 1,639
I'm excited about what Shakur Stevenson can bring to boxing. So fast and accurate from just about every angle with good power and exceptional defensive ability.

Most people know about the Mancini vs Kim fight because of the tragic outcome but don't realize what a great fight it was up until the end.

That was the impetus for dropping from 15 rounds to 12. I remember watching it live on broadcast TV

I was watching the fight at my grandmother's house. I always felt guilty (I was eleven), because I thought for a second "kill this guy". Thoughtcrime is every Catholic boy's companion.

That fight was absolutely brutal . It was one of those fights I can remember exactly where I was and I remember it vividly. I was at my grandmothers house helping her with some stuff and we had the fight on a 13 inch black and white TV because we were working in the kitchen. She was a big boxing fan and we both stopped what we were doing to watch the fight I believe it was a Sunday afternoon. I'm not 100 % sure if the fight was live or taped but I'm pretty sure it was live. I think it was one of those wide world of sports broadcasts

Very well promoted, boxers doubling as memorable characters with their exceptional ability and charisma, excellent TV production and announcing. Unequalled as a spectacle, you'd always look forward to a fight. UFC has pretty much replaced boxing now. All the stuff i mentioned above is what you're getting in UFC, and no longer seen in boxing. He loved America, but was rabidly pro Italian-American. I remember it being in the afternoon too, though I just read it was on CBS and a Saturday. Maybe they set it up early to get the Korean audience which is probably fairly substantial. I think it was in the parking lot of the casino.

We were out there, so I assumed it was summer, but just read it was November. My parents are still there - both houses.
