Same. Usyk is an all-time great and has been a P4P top 2-3 fighter in the world for years already, and Joshua had already been beaten by a smaller guy. Thought the fight was easy money and my wallet is happy I was right. Also made a nice little bundle on Volkanovski later on.

I fell asleep after the Diaz fight.

He was better than expected but worse than I’d hoped. Insane that they were ever asked to go 5 rounds. Nick was never going to be able to maintain that fighting style at 38 after so long out.

He also didn’t train much if at all for the month and a half leading up to the fight. Guy was randomly popping up at jiu jitsu gyms in LA with his idiot trainer in tow rather than staying up in Stockton where he quite literally has a top level gym filled with professional MMA fighters. Wasn’t surprised at all he couldn’t make weight. He’s a bizarre dude.

Yeah there was a rumour going around that he was trying to get the fight postponed or cancelled by not cutting the weight but the UFC basically made that impossible by offering the middleweight option. It was still pretty cool to see him rolling back the years in that first round but he’s clearly not committed to it in the way you need to be.

His old manager ****ed him out of a ton of money and he was living it up in Vegas for years. Right up until Covid closures happened really. I have no idea why he won't put more time into building his gym and brand, Nate and one of Caesar's other guys have been running it for years. I think Nick wishes he did something else with his life at this point but he's got nothing else and he just wanders the martial arts world so randomly since the suspension. He's been kind of like the Dave Chappelle of MMA.

Tyson Fury is just way too good.

The skill and speed for that size is just incredible. Made Whyte look like a bum which I suspected he would as I remember the Chisora fight.

Already an all time great but I just hope he gets a chance to unify the belts. Ridiculous that it hasn’t happened since Lewis. They need to make it happen.

Usyk and Joshua rematching it is probably what's best for him. Seems like only fighting once a year is what gets Fury motivated for a proper camp. I'd really love to see him and Usyk have a go, that's such a fascinating matchup.

Fury is something else. I really hope he's not serious about retirement because he is just a joy to watch as a boxer.

Fury always talks sh*t so I'd be stunned if he retires, pretty sure I remember him saying he was retired after the David Haye fight fell through lol.

The Usyk-Joshua rematch sets it up perfectly one way or the other. I can't see AJ beating him. Usyk-Fury the dream fight for me, the one guy who can match Fury for skill.

Ideally we'd get Fury-Usyk and Joshua-Wilder. It's boxing though so we'll probably get neither.

My guy Bivol with a masterclass vs Canelo. I hugely fancied him and put some money down. The moving up was going to catch up to him eventually and the warning signs were there against Kovalev. Bivol is in his prime and just far too defensively disciplined for Canelo to get through.

Watch them call it a draw.
