While I was certainly never one of his super-fans, I never had any hate on the guy until his trade deadline temper tantrum. Now I will be actively rooting against him wherever it is that he goes. The fact that he had the entirety of his contract meltdown over the course of not even one full offseason, more than half of which has been just a little impacted by some other particular evens, should prove how absolutely batsh*t crazy he really is. You don't want this kind of guy anywhere near your team... nothing good comes of it. He's like a less talented, way more annoying, and far less shrewd Revis. 5 2

He will sit on him for 2 years if he doesn't want to play - Jamal just killed his once promising career. That all depends on the kind of offers he can get. If other teams try to think they can get away with a cheap, crappy offer because of this, then I totally agree with you. If anyone comes with a respectable deal though, you take the deal and improve the team by both addition and subtraction. 1

BornJetsFan1983
this is great at least we dont have to pretend that Adams is die hard jet anymore. Guys been a baller for sure but plays a position that we do not need to pay premium on. We are going to keep him on rookie deal untill Dal offers a first and more. But if this is the case, And it’s true he will play for other teams without asking for an extension, then screw him. i call Jax and see if we can work out a package including Jamal for Ngakoue

Popular Post Ohhthepain
Gee it's almost as if we should have traded him last October like I've been saying this whole time. So many posters just couldnt fathom their favorite cheerleader on the flight crew being traded. He doesnt want to be a Jet... all he wants to do is promote his own brand/image. Playing for a winning franchise helps him do that. Now we'll get cents on the dollar because we waited. Should have gotten rid of the headache before he tanked his own trade value. #prez

Those of us who wanted him gone have been saying for months that this guy is no leader and doesn't want to be here, and now here it is plain as day. Ashtyn is the first Center Fielder we've had at Safety since Kerry Rhodes. He's an exciting prospect.

I would never send Adams to Dallas without that type of deal bc thats the team he prefers and **** him.

BigRy56
Good, hold out and get nothing for the next two years. What a ridiculous situation.... every report says the Jets' intention is to pay him, he's supposed to be a team leader, and he's doing this? Dog, hit the bricks. If he can collect more than 2 INT's over his first 3 years, I'll take it. Either way, we're not going to be spending $15-18M per year on a Box Safety, and that's a good thing for the franchise.
Bugg
At this point, so what. Douglas should make whatever decision is best for his franchise. Adams has no leverage. And really what team is signing up for this nonsense. Play, or face a $40k daily fine for holding out. And should Douglas figure it makes sense, hope Adams enjoys some Jets tag $ for the next 2 seasons. You play safety, Jamal. That is not QB, nor LT, nor edge. And had the Jets a GM with half a brain on the day Adams was drafted, Mahomes or Watson or Lil'Watt would be a Jet rather than this character. 2

He plays one of the more meaningless positions in the NFL. He's disgruntled and wants off his current team and has made it clear he wants to be paid as one of the best players in the league, not the best SS in the league - not only do you have to give up draft pick(s), you also have to give him a massive contract. If I want Adams, I go to the Jets and offer a 2nd and a 4th. 1
