One of those teams he’d play for without a new deal. Two more contracted years and the option for two franchise tags.

He'd play for 1 year without a new deal and without complaining about it, is what I imagine he's saying in all this.  1 season, and then the b*tching and moaning begins with his new team.

Much has been made about Jets safety Jamal Adams and his contract situation with the New York Jets in recent days, and now it seems we have some idea as to how much teams believe he’ll be looking for.

Jamal Adams’ future contract demands loom large in trade talks. If he wants pay among top defensive players – which one source whose team has looked into Adams believes – that’s well above $20M per year, while safety market is below $15M. Tough for a SS, no matter how good.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, a source that has looked in to Adams believes the asking price will be “well above $20 million per year”, which is quite the asking price for a safety no matter how versatile he might be.  Adams is entering the fourth year of his five-year deal, meaning the Jets have him under contract for two more seasons and possibly a third thanks to the franchise tag.

If Adams is in fact looking for the kind of money being reported, it’s going to be a long, drawn out negotiation process if he’s not traded before that.

This is the most rediculous  thing I have read. Nobody is offering him anything close to that

Yes, but will one of those teams want to deal with him? Maybe, but if hes a good soldier next season and does well, do you think he'll keep his mouth shut, I dont. But I could be wrong

You’d hope he might have learned something from Le veon Bells contract issues.  If he really wants that much I’d trade him for a first round pick if we can get it.  Tell him when he is a free agent to check back after he gets some offers.

Given the deal Eddie Jackson got, Jamal is probably within reason to be seeking $16MM/season which would be the top Safety deal.  He'll have to assume that James or someone else might top it in a year.  But asking for much more than that just makes him look foolish.  $20MM would be the 6th highest defensive salary in the league behind guys like Khalil Mack, Aaron Donald and such.  More than Von Miller.

If he came out with an ask of $17.5MM I'd say he was negotiating.  This is either stupid negotiating or outright stupidity thinking it will help him get traded where he wants to go.
