68JET11
I liked Victor Green as well. I think that 2005-06 seasons Eric Coleman had promise also, but why wasn't he a JET for longer than that ? I forget
jmat321
Right now I’d put Brian Washington ahead of Jamal.

Jet_Engine1
Victor Green. Member of the Jets 4 Decade team, 961 Tackles. 25 Interceptions. UDFA. When he was let go by Herm in 2002 so they could sign the immortal Sam Garnes to play SS, he was scooped up by BB (His former DC) immediately. Underrated player

#27TheDominator
Burgess Owens was a player. He started at safety for ages. I guess at some point they started referring to him as a free safety, which cuts his time on this list. Unfortunately, his tenure mostly spanned the dark ages of Namath's demise before Walt Michaels upswing.

Greenbloodblitz
Victor Green sticks in my head as probably my favorite Jet of all time. When I actually started to really understand football which does take some time, and I'm talking about plays and formations, Downs distances and why, I would watch Victor green instead of following the football. Back in those days people got lit up! Lol I like the blue collar types. Jordan Jenkins is that kind of guy. Leon Washington comes to mind. Jerricho Cotchery .. and how about Brian Cox!?

No it definitely wasn't Eric Coleman- It was some big-name free agent guy who was past his prime I'm pretty sure it was Steve Atwater. I think Coleman played on the Jets for a few years man
LockeJET
It was Damien Robinson. I changed before your reply.

GreenFish
I only go back to the late 90’s. Of those guys, 1) Victor Green (Ahead of Jamal because he did it for longer) 2) Jamal 3) Jim L The rest are ehh. Who the hell is Burges Owens and can I still a buy a Jersey? It’ll be a good conversation starter. Edit: Dude was a baller. I need to learn more Jets history. Just saw Burges Owens is running for Congress. Support the man!!! Jetpain
Amazing how many times over the years the jets filled that safety position solidly with a free agent and not a high draft pick and top pay.
