The goose is cooked. Fans wont come back.

I’d bet anything they come back.  Strikes, lockouts & scabs and the game is stronger, more popular and makes more money than before.

I believe there is quite a bit of apathy in fan bases knowing the seriousness of the disease and the contractual bickering of star players being microscoped now even more so when things were so called "normal" , increasing the apathetic attitudes. Maybe I am misreading it but the league used to feel the shield will stimulate the love of the game. Life preference has a way of overshadowing the shield or any star player.

Having a hard time caring tbh, play dont play, whatevs

I only care from a fantasy football perspective.  I won my money league last season and was hopeful I'd have the chance to defend the title.

Otherwise, I don't care at all.  It would be advantageous for the Jets if there's no season, too.  It gives a team with a lot of new faces more time to build chemistry, and doesn't put us a year closer to Darnold's rookie deal ending.

MLB:  Not going to happen.  It's a slow paced sport without helmets and very large rosters.  They won't be able to start on time, and because it's not an all-weather sport it will simply run out of time.

NFL:  Will definitely happen, and a full season too.  They will delay the start of the season until December, have the Super Bowl in May, full-face-mask protection and being an all-weather sport allows proper safety and a starting time of their choosing.

NBA:  See MLB.

NHL:  See NFL.
