Who Are Some Underrated Players You Think Deserve The HOF?

Recommended Posts

Past, present, future, doesn't matter. Just wanting to hear some guys that don't get enough credit. Personally, I'd love to see two huge underdogs, London Fletcher and Derrick Mason, get consideration. Two of the most consistent ever at their respective positions.

Chrebet, really for the path he took as an undrafted player and became one of the best slot WR's in the league.

Tony Boselli.

5x Pro Bowler, 3x All-Pro, NFL 1990s All-Decade Team.

Yes, his career was short (only 7 seasons) due to injuries.  So what?  He was one of the best at what he did at a game that tends to cut careers short.

Klecko obviously

Randy Gradishar: 7 time pro bowler, 2 time all pro, AP Defensive POY 1978

Ken Riley: 68 career interceptions.

I always felt that Riley and Gradishar were overshadowed by Lambert and Mel Blount.

I don't think Cro is a HOF player.  Had some very good seasons and was an amazing athlete, but not what I would consider HOF

Wes Welker.  There’s a logjam of better wrs and he’ll never get in, but he is the best slot wr of all time and completely revolutionized the position.  His stats are crazy.

Eric Metcalf.  Same reason as above.  He didn’t play a primary position, but is the definition of a multipurpose jack of all trades/st threat/3rd down back, and is the best to ever do that.

This but him not getting in this year means he never will. Some many marginal players in the HOF because of SB victories but one of the most versatile lineman ever will not get there.
