Jetsfan80
Since its so hard to compare across positions, I'd have to go with the guy who is clearly the best at a position of importance. Last year, Michael Thomas had 149 catches. 45 more than any other WR in the game. His 1,725 yards eclipsed the next best (Julio Jones - 1,394) by 331 yards. His catch % was 80.25 %. Absolutely absurd. And he did all this without a capable WR2 across from him, and with a QB who, while still great, was 40 years old last season. And his 2019 numbers aren't some complete anomaly. He's steadily gotten better every season. 92 catches as a rookie, 104 catches in 2017, 125 in 2018 and 149 last season. His yardage went up from 1,137 to 1,245 to 1,405 and then the 1,725 last season. The sky is really the limit on what he can do. It's Michael Thomas, and I don't really think it's all that close. His physicality, ability to high point the ball, his athleticism, his route running....all absurd. He's the total package WR.

On a long term deal - no, because he’s a head case and they are not. But if we’re talking about right now; a game played tomorrow, I think it’s gotta be Tyreek. D Hop & Julio are great, but also past their prime. A good argument can certainly be made for Michael Thomas. He’s certainly got the statistical advantage. I understand that. But Tyreek is the most dangerous player with the ball in his hands. If I’m a defensive player or coordinator, I fear Tyreek more.

I’m just imagining all those third-and-nines where Darnold was waiting for Ryan Griffin to get open and what it’d look like if he could just throw it to someone like Thomas instead. I don’t know if Perriman can be that physical target for him, but lord knows he needs one.

Tyreek about to enter his 5th. Anyway, yes, it’s the speed. It’s not like Hill has poor hands or sh*t route running, but his game is speed. And he’s the best at it by far, and speed is the most dangerous weapon in the game.

The question isn't who is the most valuable. Or who I would take first. Aaron Donald is a better DT than Mahomes is a QB. Aaron Donald is quite possibly the best player at his position of all time. He might even be in the discussion for best defensive player of all time. At this point, you couldn't make that argument for Mahomes, and possibly never will. I also disagree the difference between Donald and other defensive tackles(although you compare him to other positions) and Mahomes and other QBs is a bigger gap in favor of Mahomes.

Getting balls others cant. Not that I dont appreciate Hills ability to take any pass to the house. Just think D Hop catching balls that others cant is more of a difference maker. Also D Hops no slug. Hill averages 14.5 per, D Hop at 13.8 is a big difference given what's around each and the offenses theyre on. While Hill has steadily averaged 70 per, D Hop is around 90 catches per. Hills certainly a good choice though

UntouchableCrew
Does best mean "best relative to his position" or "most valuable." You're not going to take Quenton Nelson over an elite pass rusher or playmaker but he's pretty damn dominant at his position.
