Pre-season eliminated.

Recommended Posts

Warner Bros finally came to their senses today and delayed Tenet indefinitely; realizing that releasing it any time soon was starting to become quite ignorant of all realities in existence right now. It took them a few weeks after several delays to finally realize it. This kinda reminds me of that. Everything is bad right now outside of the Northeast and it's only going to get worse over the next 2-3 weeks. Hard to fathom a fall season happening at this point for a sport that requires so many moving parts and people just to play a game even without fans; and it's starting to feel a bit on the irresponsible side. It would be nice to see the NFL taking a lead role in all of this, perhaps organizing and planning for a Spring season and coordinating things with the NCAA to get on the same page, but I suppose that's wishful thinking at this point. Tenet isn't coming out any time soon and neither is the NFL.

But they’re going to test everyone every day which is super responsible and very practical.

Not sure how it works without a bubble.

It can't.  I'm shocked that it isn't in the NFL's plans.  They had a shot, of all the sports its the one that is logistically manageable.  One game a week.  In/out single hotel night travel.  Players accustomed to full headgear.  Own their own single-purpose stadiums.  Impervious to weather.  And they're going to blow it.

Tbh the solution to their problem is to hire Dana White. That’s all I got. That albino milk dud mother****er pulled off some miraculous sh*t the last few months.

Players were also informed that roster sizes are expected to be at 80 to start camp, per NFL Network.  Gonna be a lot of cuts coming soon.

Can you change the subject to "Preseason Canceled" just for clickbait and "I had to see what this was about" type comments.

Are we really that surprised? Goodell couldn’t even get domestic violence right. There has been such a fundamental lack of leadership and cognitive dissonance amongst the owners - all of whom are so far removed from reality from being so outlandishly wealthy at this point - for so long that it’s hard to imagine any scenario where they exhibited care or competence. I mean come on these guys are all essentially Marvel villains at this point.

This is a big win for the players, IF there is a season and it starts week 1, generally that is when contracts start becoming guaranteed. That is why a lot of players cut at the end of preseason get picked back up after week 1. I have my doubts that we will actually get an NFL season but when there is that much money on the line I can see them forcing it until governors/public pressure gets too strong against it.
