Plus the picks from say 26 to 32 can be sneaky valuable. Often you can trade down into top of 2nd for a future 1st so players can snag the last QB or last elite pass rusher.

A trade is not a great one purely based on what the picks end up being.  This is a great trade regardless of what happens next.  If Douglas messes up on the picks, that's a separate issue.  

We now have 4 first rounders over the next 2 drafts, plus saved at least $16M+ in cap space that Adams would have taken up.

Plus, I think McDougald will be well-liked here, for however long he's a Jet.

Yeah because Jamal  Adams was really helping us win ?.  Adams literally said he didn’t want To be here.  Are we Really suppose to support him?  We got a monster return for him

Who the Hell cares. JD got way more than anyone on this board imagined. We have 2 first round pick for the next two years. We can keep the picks, trade up, trade down. Our drafts just became unbelievably better as far as flexibility.
