Costello Report: Adams to Seattle for Two First Round Picks

Wow the possibilities are pretty extensive with how JD approaches his next 2 drafts after seeing his riverboat gambling style.  Trading back? acquiring more picks? , one thing I loved was JD fulfilling desperate needs with top available prospect instead of taking ‘top rated player‘ when we pick. But then he abandoned that and traded back in the 2nd round. So it’s evident JD is not your typical GM (see Macc) that can be easily figured out.

I think there will be a lot of trading back.  I love how we're set up now.  We can go BB-style with the draft now.  Trade down, always have excess draft capital each year.  Plus we're not going to have to overpay for a non-premium position.

I’d maybe think about shipping one of Seattle’s picks for a edge rusher.

I’d hold tight. There’s so much you can do with 2#1 picks. I mean holy molly. JD can upgrade this roster in the next 2-3 years with these picks.

SEA has been an excellent organization but I don't understand
their thinking.  Is Adams the missing piece to put them over
SF, LA and the rest of the NFC?  And then to give up two #1's
and then having to pay Adams 16+ million?  Their problem now

It's def surprising.  I like Russell Wilson a lot so I wish SEA well but I'm very happy with this from the Jets' perspective.

Love it but also hate that he gets what he wants in being traded to a good team.

Also wish we got an offensive piece, oh well.

Finding the way Jamal is through this ordeal, I think maybe he didn't get what he wanted. He really wanted Dallas or Tampa Bay to stick it to the Jets.

Guaranteed that he never plays at the same level he did here.

Lol, I can’t wait to see Kittle vs Adams. Probably gonna look like Adams vs Gronk.

Joe D believes in his own ability to identify and draft talent.

He also instantly upgraded the leadership and culture on this team and showed everyone who is in f**king charge.

Let's keep an eye on the Marcus Maye situation too.  I think Joe D still has leverage there but wouldn't be surprised if we re-sign Maye during the year.

The bleeds into the idea that Davis will be the FS and Maye the SS?
