Call me crazy but if m going with Rex. Players play hard for him and as far as I can remember he took a team with one of the worst QBs in the league to AFC championship games two years in a row. Then is given one of the least talented teams for the remainder of his contract.

Quit being a psycho.  You don't have to rush in and defend every small perceived slight someone directs at your boy.  I believe in Sam Darnold.  

Yet you demand “top xx” stats despite the fact that those are a matter of circumstance. If Darnold is good, he’s good. Stats may happen or they may not, at the end of the day we want a QB that will give the best chance to win the game.

He's basically their version of Dowell. 

Doesn't matter.  A HC doesn't have to be a former play-caller to succeed.  In fact, in many cases its better if he does not.  HC's need to be CEOs, not specialists.

What matters is Reid is grooming him to be a HC, just like he did with Doug Pederson.  That worked out pretty well for Philly.

We won't get top tier candidates here whether Gase is here for 1 more year or 4 unless the roster is improved.  

I think Joe Douglas will handle the roster just fine.  Hopefully he's allowed to hire the next HC too, as he's well-connected and well respected.  I think a lot of guys will want to work under Douglas, especially if Darnold looks like the goods this year.

But of course, if Darnold looks great, why fire Gase?  Kind of circular logic going on with all this.

He had a great roster in Buffalo.  And they seem to be doing great without him.  What happened there?

He is not going to be gone, no matter how bad he is or is not in 2020.

We should all get used to that idea now, rather than engage in pointless speculation over something near-guaranteed not to happen.

0-16, sure, he's gone.  4-12 or better?  He's almost assuredly back for 2021. And we'll be better than 4 wins, have no doubt.
