Adam Gase & Joe Douglas are in a NO LOSE situation in 2020. 
Everyone thinks they are a 4th place team in a sh*tty division. Especially after trading “THE PREZ”. 
But stranger things have happened in the NFL right? What if like SAR 1 thinks, they start out 5-0? What if they win the division? 
It’s totally not out of the question! No Brady, best team is the Bills, but Allens not great, Miami ? Meh. Just imagine a scenario where Sam Darnold puts it together, the Oline gets in sync, Bechton turns out to be better than advertised, Mims comes out smokin, Perrimans last 5 games were no mirage, Mosely is 100%, Davis is a gem, Herndon starts out where he left off & Zuniga + Huff turn out to be solid pass rushers? 
None of those things are that outrageous. 
Now just imagine winning the AFC East with 4 first round picks, 4 third round picks & the next 2 years & 10 total picks in the 2021 draft! 
Now just imagine communicating with Peter King on his Twitter account ?.

Actually it would be three 3rd rounders in the next 2 years, but get your point. It would also not be out of the realm of possibility that Bradley M. winds up filling in for Adams and not skipping a beat. He may not quite have the highlight film plays, but may get TFLs like Adams and from all accounts is better in coverage. He is pretty big at 6 foot 1 inch like Adams and maybe can handle TEs better that I never saw Adams do that well against when they were the best TEs in the league.

I watched every game last year, including the all 22s. Adams did a LOT of freelancing & at one point it annoyed GW. 
If you go back & look at film he would move around & sometimes run himself out of a play. 
Do you know who else had done that in the past? The LB Collins in New England, and Belichick promptly sent him off to Cleveland for a draft pick. 
No one here is saying Adams wasn’t a very good player but every time he made a tackle the announcers would just bloviate about a routine stop. 
I honestly think he’s one of the most overrated players to enter the league in years! He’s an attention whore, from his tackling the Pats mascot to winning Pro Bowl MVP (really?), to his clapping antics on the field he made it hard not to notice him. Gronk abused him, Cam toyed with him, Gardner Minshew didn’t notice him, Fitz either, Brady Bradyed him, the Bills & Allen rolled us 4 straight possessions when Mosely went down. 
im not downplaying he was a very good player, but was he GREAT? Did I miss something? 
Like on a scale from 5-10 where does Adams & McDouglad fall? 
We went to 2 straight AFCCGs with Eric Smith & Jim Leanard. 
I’d say we’re in pretty good shape with Maye, McDouglad & Davis. A lot more potential & athleticism than Smith & Leonard. 
Time will tell.

who's to say seattle's pick will be 25+?  they're in the same division as the rams and niners and cards.  the rams and niners should be tough teams to beat and the cards could be coming on.  not an easy division.

What would people say if the Jets won the AFC East?

Probably heap praise on Sam Darnold -- if we win enough games to win the division it's more than likely because he has by far his best season and looks like a franchise QB. They'll also talk about four first round picks in the next two years and say we're best positioned to rule the division for the next decade.

The media will give the Jets kudos when they're good. It's just been so long some of us can't remember.

As funny as it is to see his posts, it was in fact a GIVEN that if Brady was QBing the Patriots, it was their division to lose. He's gone, we all know about 2008 & Cassel, but people forget that the only time Brady was out the Pats DID NOT win the division, Miami did with Chad Pennington at QB. 

Fans also forget that the Jets went into Gillette on TNF & beat the Patriots. Uh, when was the last time we beat the Patriot in Gillette, the 2010 playoffs. 

This division is anybodies division. Can Cam Newton last a whole season? When does Fitz fall apart? Will Josh Allen ever be accurate? There are question marks all over this division.

if you assign a probablility to each of these thing as a percentile...  convert to decimal (eg 50% chance = 0.5) then multiply for your fina,l probablilty...  if we assigned all these things an arbitrary, let's say %65 chance of occuring...  ( overestimating positivgely on purpose)

2021 is when this team becomes a perennial contender.  Denzel Mims will be a true WR1 by then and Becton will be a monster.
