Sanchez was a useless pile of crap in both AFC Championships.  Your shtick needs some work man.

OUR team, gave up 24 unanswered points in both games.   That’s not on Sanchez.  In 2010 he got off to a shaky start but we were out coached in both games.  REX was not a war time consiliari.

82 Jets would have beaten Redskins team going away. They would not have given Riggins any room to run then the “ Sack Exchange “ would have teed off as the Skins OLine wasn’t as good in pass blocking ( Gastineau would have consistently run right past Jacoby) Our running game with Freeman would then have worn down the Skins. I think the Jets win by 10-14 points and I think score would not have been indicative of Jets domination of that game

There is no point in having a good regular season if your quarterback can't elevate his play and win playoff games against bigtime defenses.

VT '98 is the reason we lost in Denver.  He was as bad as Pennington in Oakland in '02.  Sanchez?  Played very well in 6 playoff games, and all you can say about his worst playoff game is that he led us back with 50 seconds on the clock to end the Peyton Manning dynasty in Indianapolis.

Vinnys game against a 14-2 Denver team, a good defensive team, in howling winds and a was 31 of 52 for 356.  The winds held the great John Elway to under 175 yards.

Vinny wasn't the reason the Jets lost that day.

Great defenses, when they win playoff games for you, like in SD, make you think that a 100 yard passing game is somehow played well or had anything to do with the win beyond being there

It's an offense driven league.  That's a crutch Sanchez doesn't get to lean on, especially given how many times the D bailed him out.  At some point, you need your QB to raise his play.

What's more, 7 of those points in the Steeler game came on a fumble that Sanchez coughed up.  Can't pin that play on anyone but Sanchez.

Sanchez also did the defense zero favors with all of his 3-and-outs.  The D was constantly on the field and constantly facing poor field position because of poor offensive play.  They can't just pitch shutouts all the time under those circumstances, against playoff offenses no less.

Rex Ryan was not up for the task either but he at least had the defense performing well in all of those playoff games.  Certainly well enough to win the game.

As the great Steve Smith once said, "I wouldn't trust Mark Sanchez to throw me a paper bag sandwich."

Sanchez sucked.

That movie is on like every other night now. But it never gets old.

Which would you say was the best Jets team (not counting 1969) ??? Which would have had the best chance to win the Super Bowl if they had advanced ???

1982 Jets (Would Have played Redski... No, No... Red Wolves in Super Bowl)

1986 Jets (Would Have played Giants in Super Bowl)

1998 Jets (Would Have Played CORRECTION *ATLANTA*  in Super Bowl)

2001 Jets (Would Have Played St. Louis Rams In Super Bowl)

2006 Jets (Would Have Played Chicago In Super Bowl)

2009 Jets (Would Have Played Saints In Super Bowl)

2010 Jets (Would Have Played Green Bay In Super Bowl)

The way I see it, the most talented team was the 1982 team.

The team that had the best chance to win the Super Bowl had they advanced was the 1998 Jets.  A close second being the 2010 Jets.  If they didn't have so many injuries, the very talented 1986 Jets team would have beat the Giants.

Comments ???

86 was a good team that fell to injuries. They couldnt cover anyone but until the pass rush went on IR it didnt matter. Then it did. 2001 we should have won in Denver and that was a good team too.

The 2010 team was probably the best team but Im not sure if they would have won the Super Bowl or not. They should have beaten the Steelers if not for the Pats game hangover. The 98 team would have destroyed the Falcons. Should have won in Denver. That game got away from them due to a handful of plays and the top 2 offensive players didnt have good games.
