Pats Tanking and Loaded w/ 2021 Picks

Recommended Posts

"That depends on how well the Patriots fare in the first season in two decades without Brady under center."

Guess they don't count the year Brady went down at the beginning and they went 11-5 with Cassell.  Missing the playoffs at 11-5, teams hosting playoff games with a losing record, the NFL is weird.

I don't think tanking even comes into consideration for BB.  He's the best coach in the sport.  He probably feels like his team can compete in a game against any team in the league.

Totally agree

He is not a factor. The only one was Hightower n Chung to a degree. Even Cannon not so much cause BB always plug n play at the oline and gets results.

Except Brady and his 2 second quick passes are gone and so is Dante Scarnechia.  The refs won’t be looking the other way on blatant holds when the pats aren’t favore by two touchdowns anymore

NFL schedule is not balanced. Playing by record would be idiotic

Yea..All of this said by no one on this planet  but you.

Went 11-5 a whole season without him

Went 3-1 the year Brady was suspended for 4 games

And won his last SB w brady and the offense doing nothing against the rams..

Yea you make sense.

You can go ahead and bring up Cleveland now.

He was 11-5 a year after going 16-0 and lost 5 more games against a much weaker schedule while missing the playoffs.

They played bad teams that 4-1 start which included 2-0 from Jimmy who has done nothing but win in SF.

Overall without Brady starting (7+ full seasons)

34-46 in Cleveland

18-19 in NE

5 losing seasons

1 wild card playoff appearance (1994 Cleveland)

1 wild card playoff win (at home under old playoff format where WC teams could get home games)

Last SB run defense allowed TWENTY FOUR 4th qtr points in AFC Championship Game. O scored 41 & 37 in AFC playoffs.  It's about damn time good D did something in a big game against a depleted Rams offense.

Belichick is 19-19 in New England in games not started by Brady( thats including Drew Bledsoe)

But 14-6 in the last 20..that includes 2018 and the year Brady was suspended for 4 games

Like i said this is right around the time the same minority group like to bring up Cleveland..so have at it.

18-19 in NE without Brady starting.

The record looks nice recently but they lost FIVE more games in 2008 than 2007 and did so against a much weaker schedule while missing the playoffs.

3-1 in 16 they beat no one and Jimmy was QB for 2, the other 2 thaty went 1-1 with brissett.  Winning when they shut out opponent and losing when they got shut out.

You didn't know....

Adam Gase and Sam Darnold over BB and Cam Newton.

Adam Gase 4 seasons

30-34, 47%

1 wild card playoff appearance

Bill Belichick without Brady starting 7 seasons

54-63, 46%

1 wild card playoff appearance

They lost 5 more games than the previous season.  If we lose 5 more games next year we'll be 2-14.  5 games is a HUGE difference especially when you factor in the much weaker schedule in 2008.  Not to mention that he missed the playoffs and 2 years later Cassel would win a division title in KC.

7 full seasons is a large sample size, he has 5 losing seasons and just 1 wild card appearance in 7 full seasons.
