Bucs agree to one-year contract with free-agent RB LeSean McCoy

A cost effective signing could prove major for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Free-agent running back LeSean McCoy has agreed to a one-year deal to join Tom Brady and the Bucs, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday, according to McCoy's agent Drew Rosenhaus. McCoy, 32, brings a much-need veteran presence to a young Bucs backfield.

Rapoport added that McCoy, who won a championship with the Chiefs last season, had talks with the Eagles where he spent the first six years of his career but ultimately decided on Tampa.

Around the NFL will have more on this shortly.

Didn’t realize the giants were in year 9 of the rebuild

Stick to your "Darnold is a top 5 QB" jokes nico. That's when you're funny.

Must be nice to root for a team that's going for it.

Lets make fun of the Bucs though, as we enter year 9 of our organization's rebuilding plan.

Yes, winning with a team of mercenaries has a great track record in NFL history.

Running in the NFL is bit different than college. He's very good but he needs to learn how to block & there are as Curtis Martin use to say, very few giant holes to run through!

Yeah, thats what signing L McCoy says to anyone who watches the Bucs.  Theyre going for it.

Who's making fun of the Bucs?

It’s gonna be fun watching Baker suck this year.  They won’t be able to blame Kitchens

When you sign a 100 year old declining QB, yeah you go for it.

How?

You sing a nearly 100 year old, broken down TE to keep him company.

Why the F do you argue with Jets fans about how bad everything is here?  From the clown comment that Jones is better than Darnold to 9 year rebuilds and of course everything Baker and the Browns.

Why do you enjoy being so annoying to all?

The last 8 seasons the Giants are 51-77 since their fluke Super Bowl win coming off a 9-7 regular season in 2011.

Over the same time period the Jets are only 2 games worse at 49-79

The TRUTH is Sam Darnold is a better quarterback than Danny Boy. The Giants drafted Barkley over Darnold who's a franchise quarterback...what did Barkley do last season? 13 attempts and 1 yard rushing vs the Jets....lol

1 year window, maybe 2 years if Grampa Brady doesn't break down.

If Joe Douglas builds this right we'll have a 10 year window.

That’s not the point really.  The Bucs are clearly making an effort to build the best team they can. Trying to put a team on the field this year that can win.

The Jets, right now, are the polar opposite.

People on this board are mocking them for it.  I applaud them for it.

I'd also prefer it if the Jets signed players whose name I recognize from a few years ago over finding young talent with potential to grow.
