jetscrazey
I'd be pissed if he went somewhere else. Good pass rushers don't grow on trees, and he's better than anything the Jets have or will have in the forseeable future. Joe D should pony up and get this guy. In 1-2 years when the offense is set we'll wish we had him.

The minute you trade for a guy like him you're locked in to overpay him. Seattle is going to learn that the hard way with Adams. Ngakoue is barely above average when it comes to athleticism. Those types don't last long in this league, and they aren't the kind of player Douglas tends to value. 11 1
Popular Post JohnnyLV
OK take a deep breath. Trading for Yannick would be IDIOTIC as we are literally not allowed to negotiate a new contract. So you are essentially throwing away a 2nd round pick for him unless you use the 2nd franchise tag on him which would be equally idiotic. I just see no way that a trade for this guy make sense for the Jets

If they have a longterm contract drawn up so that he's signed when he gets off the plane then I'd be okay with it, especially if it's something like sending a #2 and getting back a #6. I just don't want to see the Jets held hostage like the Giants (with Leo), Seattle (with Jamal), Arizona (with Deandre Hopkins), etc. 3
Columbia Jet Fan
I can't see this being the Jets unless there is a way to extend him long term which is agreed upon beforehand... I'm pretty sure the rule is you can't extend someone once they sign the franchise tag though so I don't see how this could be the Jets... no way Douglas trades a 2 for a 1 year rental

He completely dominated that game and sacked Sam twice. If we can get this kid who is a young sack machine you do it and extend him no problem 2

JohnnyLV
My guess would be Seattle. They are all in and could risk the 1 year rental. If the Jets did this I would be as pissed as when we drafted QW

Ohhthepain
Dont think this is a JD move at this point. Maybe next year he would. But at this early stage of the rebuild he places a very high value on all his draft capital
