Think it means he knows something & it isn’t happening

I'm fine with that.  But let the fans enjoy something other than "down to less than 7  receivers" and "Gase is dealing with several soft tissue injuries per usual."  If he wants to quash the rumors outright... then do it.  But fans want to speculate.

Two thirds? If this happens for two thirds, that is insane.

More impressive is that it says pending extension, so if we don’t like what we see this season and don’t extend him, we don’t forfeit as much.

It would have to be an under-the-table agreement to terms, nothing formalized until the start of the next league season.

this has to be baloney as the jets can't extend this guy.

The compensation would be two 3rds. Unless next year, they don’t extend him, then comp gets adjusted.

Not sure why you guys think this has to be immediate to be viable. The picks will be in future seasons.

JD: “so how about that Frank Clark contract, eh?”

YN’s new agent: “yeah, great deal!”

JD: “pull the trigger!”

If we trade for Yannick, CJ Mosely pussying out on the season really pisses me off. Dude stole 30 million for like 9 plays he was involved in.

Why a down vote & a confused face? F*ck this Covid sh*t, look at the statistics of age group & health issues DYING.
So, are you telling me CJ Mosely is gonna bubble himself during the entire season? Like not go anywhere in public?
f*cking guy will probably be seen in Sams Club or Cosco, food shopping in Supermarkets, going to some clubs.
I guarantee you the Jets facility is safer than any place he’s going during his hiatus! Ridiculous!

Lol being as the Jets cannot extend him there is like zero credence to this post. Unless there's some magical dispensation for Covid

It would be for a 2021 third and (if we extend him NEXT offseason) a 2022 third.

If we don't extend him NEXT offseason, we'd owe nothing in 2022 or something like a fifth.

Why can't anyone understand how this can work?

Excellent thought, if this is the deal, I’m on board. 1 3rd rounder is worth the risk that we can resign him.

JD really gonna get this guy for two 3rd round picks? Lmao just build the statue now

Not to mention that the Jags could keep him this year, let him sign elsewhere in the offseason, and likely get a 2022 3rd round pick as a compensatory pick.  This report is BS.

He has 40 sacks in 4 years. What are you even talking about

He’s unathletic......you didn’t hear? But he does make plays.  You know what would be good? How bout getting some good players in here for once? Instead of playing for tomm and loading up on draft picks.

Agree with you, but Jags might feel our 3rd is about 30 picks higher than a comp 3rd if the report is true.

Level 2:
2) Joe Douglas wants to ensure there is a verbal agreement on an extension before handing over significant draft capital during a rebuild. If the deal goes through would have landed their best pass rusher since Abraham.

Did he mean "best" or "only"?

Mehta playing the odds.

Chancres are trade doesn’t happen, Mehta looks credible (even though he’s guessing).

Trade happens, no loss, he’s always wrong and never held accountable.

Like a weatherman.

I may be wrong on this, but if the Jets traded a third for him (with another third in 2021 contingent on him signing an extension here), and he walked, wouldn't the Jets get a compensatory pick? And with what he could get in free agency, that might be as high as a third.

So theoretically, the Jets could get him for one year for a net wash, if that was the deal.
