Dcat
Humphrey Bogart in the Caine Mutiny: I also loved the ending scene. (Jose Ferrer was MiguelFerrer's dad for those of you who think he looks familiar). Favorite line: I'm a lot drunker than you, so it will be a fair fight. 3

munchmemory
Anyone who has not seen Billy Wilder's masterpiece should spend a Saturday night taking in this visionary film and script. Actors dream of achieving William Holden;s level of skill. 3

PS17
There is not a close second for me. Anthony Hopkins’ portrayal of Hannibal is easily my favorite character of all time. Talk about charisma and stage presence.

munchmemory
So many great Cagney films/scenes. This flick, White Heat, is one of my all time faves. This scene is one for the (filmic) ages. Bonus:

munchmemory
This one is a timepiece. But especially if you're Italian, please check out Lover's and Other Strangers. You might notice Clemenza and Maude in the starring roles.

Not at all. This is true Carpenter creepy. It's a remake from the cheap 50s thriller, which I loved a s a kid. What makes it genius is how Carpenter constructs the film, slowly reveals the alien, and the assembled cast of very good actors led by Kurt Russell. Back in 1982 when I saw the flick it scared the sh*t out of me. Even the ending is insane. Trust me, you will dig the flick.

munchmemory
Cannot have this thread without this iconic scene. Bogie is a screen god here. And Ingrid Bergman's mouth is a work of art.
