Really hope this isn't a set up for Lev Bell trade

The Jets didn’t make up the tight hammy out of nowhere. Bell had to have mentioned it to someone on the coaching or training staff, Jets wanted to be extra cautious and sat him.

Bell is on a mission to prove to the entire league and the world that he’s still young and now healthy. His ego was a little bruised by the “injury announcement” and he said what he said “huh? Hammy is fine!”

That was my take anyways

Why?  Gase was once lied to the media about an inured player in Miami.  As was the case here, I have no idea why, but he told the media he'd spoken to an injured pllayer about his injury and they were on the same page in regards to when he'd get back on the field.  When the media asked the player about it he said that he and Gase hadn't spoken at all.

I mean it's not like we're looking to win this season anyways. The only huge downside would be the impact on Darnold but I think he's f*cked either way and not in getting mono sense.

We know Gase never watned Bell.

Jets sit Bell for most of scrimmage in a preseason with zero games where getting their bodies ready will be a challenge.

Jets lie about why they sat Bell.

Bell takes to twitter to tell fans Jets lied.

Jets trade for running back drafted by Gase.

Trading Bell is a $6 mil cap hit with $9 mil in savings per OTC.

Bell never played in preseason in Pittsburgh and would round into form week 4.

Gase has an awful history with RBs.  They distract from his goal of having a slot receiver get to 1000yds on 150 catches.

Spoiler

Could the Bears use a RB with Montgomery out 2-4 weeks?  Bell could even be an upgrade for the Redskins, Buccaneers.

A coach not being truthful with the media? The horror!!!

No one is trading for Le'Veon Bell.
